1.Spraying my grass in the evening will not burn my grass even if the temperature reaches 98 degrees tomorrow?

2. I do NOT want to water or cut the grass for 24 hours after spraying for webworms? After 24 hours water as normal or the 1/4 inch? 3. Is it ok to cut the grass and water prior to spraying? Should I cut it shorter? BTW I sprayed around my house this morning and within 30 minutes I had a couple of dead spiders and have not seen any pesky ants all day. So far Very Very happy!

Answer:

We do not recommend applying Bifen XTS or other insecticides while the temperature is above 90-95 degrees so that you are not putting extra stress on your turfgrass. If you have very hot days, then the best time to treat is in the morning after the grass has recovered during the night.

For control of sod webworms, you should delay watering or irrigation for at least 24 hours after application, per the product label. We do not recommend spraying immediately after cutting to reduce extra stress on the grass. If you spray after watering, be sure the ground is not saturated and the grass blades are not dripping wet.
