    Q
Is a surfactant recommended with 4-Speed XT Selective Herbicide?
    A

Yes, a surfactant can be used with 4-Speed XT Selective Herbicide however the product label advises the following: "Adding oil, wetting agent, or other surfactant to the spray may be used to increase the effectiveness on weeds, but doing so may reduce the selectivity to turf resulting in turf damage.

It is recommended to do a small compatibility test in a glass jar prior to the application. Review the full product label for more information and Compatibility Instructions on page 5.

Should you add a surfactant with 4-Speed XT Selective Herbicide?

Yes,  a surfactant can be added to 4-Speed XT Selective Herbicide to increase effectiveness on weeds but is not required. The label does state that if one is added some turf damage may occur due to reduced selectivity.
