Yes, applying Acelepryn Insecticide at the higher rate of 0.37 fl oz per 1000 sq ft is recommended for longer residual control and would last in the soil from April through late August/early September. If a second application is needed in late August/early September, apply again at the 0.37 fl oz per 1000 sq ft rate.
The maximum rate for a single application is 0.46 fl oz per 1000 sq ft (8 – 16 fl oz per acre) and the maximum rate per acre per calendar year is 38.3 fl ozPlease view the Rate Chart for Broadcast Applications on page 6 of the product label for more information.
The 4 oz bottle of Acelepryn Insecticide covers an acre at the rate of 0.09 oz/1,000 sq ft (43,560 sq ft/acre).
Acelepryn SC Insecticide can be applied with any tank/pump sprayer. We are not familiar with the Knapsack line so would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer to confirm what products can be used in it.
Once the application of Acelepryn Insecticide has completely dried, pets and kids are allowed to enter the treated areas.
Acelepryn Insecticide can be used on new grass seed for insect control however newly planted grass seed can be sensitive therefore we would recommend doing a spot treatment first to see if any injury occurs.
Acelepryn Insecticide does come in a liquid and granular formulation. It can be used on new grass seed for insect control but you should test a small inconspicuous area first as newly planted turfgrass can be sensitive to various product applications.
Per the product label, for maximum residual control, heavy pest pressure or if the areas to be treated are maintained at a mowing height greater than 1 inch, apply up to 20 fl oz per acre. Repeat treatments can be done as needed but no more than once every 7 days.
Acelepryn Insecticide is not labeled for treating pastures therefore we cannot recommend using for armyworm control in this type of area.
Drexel Malathion 5EC could be an alternative for armyworms in pastures at the rate of cer is labeled for armyworms in pastures at the rate of 1.4 pints per acre. This cannot be used in pastures used for grazing. View the product label for more information.The mixing rate per gallon of water for Acelepryn Insecticide will depend on what specific insects you are targeting and where you are treating (lawns, landscape ornamentals, commercial/residential, etc).

Acelepryn Insecticide should not have any impact on the establishment of newly laid sod, if used as directed on the manufacturer's product label.
The shelf life of the Acelepryn Insecticide is up to 5 years from the manufacturer date.
For excessivly dry soils, a light watering to the lawn before applying Acelepryn Insecticide would be permitted however watering before the application is not required as you will be using sufficient water volume during the application.
Per the product label, use a minimum of 2 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft followed by additional irrigation or rainfall to move the active ingredient into the soil. Do not apply within 48 hrs of rainfall that would cause runoff or flooding.
