Advion Cockroach Gel Bait has a different food matrix than the other two but does not contain an IGR the way Vendetta Plus Cockroach Gel Bait does. Meaning, that you would need to use an IGR in conjunction. Keep in mind that you need to rotate the baits otherwise, you will meet resistance & they will stop working.
We would recommend contacting the manufacturer or phone number on the package and providing them with the LOT number or Serial Number of the product. Syngenta can be reached at 866-796-4368 to confirm if this lot number belongs to them.
Yes, the Masterline Professional Bait Gun will fit the Advion Cockroach Gel Bait tube.
Advion Roach Bait Gel is a slow kill so that it has time to be taken back to the colony and spread. Roaches can start dying within a few hours. How long it takes to eliminate a roach infestation depends on how large the infestation is, how consistent and thorough you are being with treatments, and the specific products you are using. There is not a set time; it can take but it can take weeks or months even to get complete control. Advion Roach Bait Gel is typically not used alone but in combination with other products. We would recommend one of our roach control kits. You can see the kits by clicking on the link here. We also have a great article for eliminating them that can offer some great advice; you can find it here.
Typically with a very small amount there is no need for worry. More than 90% of the baits are made up of food based ingredients which is what attracts the roaches to it to take back to the colony. If you are concerned you can monitor your dogs and contact Syngenta directly regarding any side effects they may have from what little they ingested. Also, keep in mind that any place you are putting Advion Cockroach Gel Bait should be in an area the pets cannot get to anyways, so you may not want to put the bait in the same places again if the pets have easy access to those areas. You can reach Syngenta at 302-425-2000.
The time it takes Advion Cockroach Gel Bait to work depends on the level of infestation so results will vary. It is recommended to replace bait placements after 14 days if roach activity is still present and continue to retreat every 14 days until roach activity has ceased. The IGR is an important part of a successful roach treatment plan to help stop the reproduction cycle and prevent juvenile stages from maturing to adults but does not have any killing properties to it.
If you are not currently using a residual insecticide like Advion WDG or Temprid FX to treat along baseboards, behind appliances, under and behind cabinets & sinks, around windows, doors and in corners, this is an effective way to eliminate roaches through contact as they cross treated areas. Residual insecticides are also the best way to prevent roaches, ants and other insects in the home.
** Do not spray on top of bait placements or place bait placements on top of where an insecticide is applied.

Not seeing dead roaches during a roach treatment program doesn’t necessarily mean the bait is not working, as long as they are consuming the bait you should continue to replace the bait placements.
When treating for active roaches, it is best use a combination of products as one product (bait or spray) typically is not going to eliminate the population or will take much longer. Bait aversion or resistance can develop in roaches if the same bait attractant is offered for a long period of time which is why we suggest reviewing our Roach Control Kits that offer 3 options for rotating during roach treatments.
These Roach Control Kits offer a complete treatment program with the top professional grade products and enough product for roughly 2-3 months of treatments. Retreatments need to be done every 14 days until you are not longer seeing roaches. If after 90 days, you are still seeing roach activity; rotate to one of the other kits to offer a different roach bait with a different bait attractant.

When you notice more roaches attracted to the bait that is normal and an indication that the product is working. The attractants lure them to the locations you placed the bait in your structure in order for the product to be accepted and effective. Rotating with other baits aside from Advion would be advised every 90 days for an integrated pest management.
For active roach infestations, using a roach bait alone will not eliminate them. It is recommended to use a combination treatment program with a residual insecticide (along baseboards, behind appliances, under cabinets, sinks, around windows, etc) and an insect growth regulator to help stop the reproduction cycle.
Repeat applications of spraying the insecticide and replacing bait placements are required every 10 to 14 days. If still seeing roaches after 90 days, you will want to continue spraying the insecticide but rotate to another roach bait to offer a different bait matrix.

We would recommend Greenway Pantry Patrol Insect Trap for beetles as it covers a broader spectrum of beetle pests including: Red Flour Beetle, Confused Flour Beetle, Indian Meal Moth, Warehouse Beetle, Cigarette Beetle, Mediterranean Flour Moth, Tobacco Moth, Rice Weevil, Saw-Toothed Grain Beetle.
For treating cracks and creviecs where the larvae could be developing, we would recommend an aerosol insecticide such as D-Force HPX.
