    Q
Can Alligare Panoramic 2SL Herbicide be used for site prep for wildflower plantings?
I want to convert a residential steep slope from fescue, annual ryegrass and natural weeds (including crabgrass and foxtail) to wildflowers. What herbicide works best and when to apply?
    A

The hardest part will be keeping the grass from coming back in this area. We recommend using Roundup Pro Concentrate on the entire slope, but may need to rake and round up again in a few weeks before planting the new wildflowers. You will likely need to use a pre-emergent at some point but that will be after the wild flowers come up.

    Q
I know that the mixture of Alligare Panoramic 2SL Herbicideis 2 oz/gallon
There is a second, smaller tube of liquid on the bottle, how much of the contents of the smaller tub of liquid should be added to the mix of water and the 2oz of the herbicide?
    A

The smaller tube you are referring to on the side of the Alligare Panoramic 2SL bottle is the tube the product is pulled through from the main portion of the bottle, into the liquid measuring chamber on the top of the bottle. Remove any seals under both caps, replace the lid over the larger portion of the bottle, then lightly squeeze the container to have the solution run into the chamber for measuring the amount you need to get to 2 oz for your mixture.

    Q
What kind of adjuvant to use with Alligare Panoramic 2SL Herbicide?
I want to spray Panoramic 2SL on weedy plots this fall to prepare for planting wildflower seed later this winter. What kind of adjuvant do I need?
    A
    The product label for

Alligare Panoramic 2SL Herbicide states, "The preferred spray adjuvant for use with Alligare Panoramic 2SL is a methylated vegetable-based seed oil concentrate containing 5 to 20% surfactant and the remainder methylated seed oil (MSO). For MSO, use a rate of 1 1/2 to 2 pints per acre. Best results are achieved when MSOs are applied with Alligare Panoramic 2SL in total spray volumes of 30 gallons per acre or less. The advantage of using the MSO decreases as the spray volume increases to higher volumes. If spray volumes above 30 gallons per acre are used, mix the MSO with Alligare Panoramic 2SL at a rate of 1% of the total spray volume. As an alternative, a non-ionic surfactant, as described below could be used when Alligare Panoramic 2SL is applied at spray volumes above 30 gallons per acre. MSOs have been shown to aid in the deposition and uptake of Alligare Panoramic 2SL in hard-to-control perennials, in weeds with waxy leaf surfaces and in weeds under stressed conditions."
