Alpine WSG is labeled for use in horse barns. Be sure to read the complete product label prior to your application.
Yes, you are able to mix only ½ a packet of Alpine WSG with a half gallon of water if only needing a smaller amount of mixed solution. Please make sure you close the remaining product in the packet securely and keep stored in an airtight ziplock bag or container until the next treatment.
Talstar P has a residual of 30 days outdoors and 90 days indoors. If outdoors, you would need to wait 30 days to apply Alpine WSG.
Alpine WSG is a non repellent insecticide therefore will not provide an immediate or quick knockdown of insects. Non repellents are slower acting which is best for social insects such as ants, roaches, etc as it allows the ants to transfer the active ingredient throughout the colony.
This product leaves a 30 to 60 day residual outdoors. Applications should be made to any trails, inside or outside, around doors and windows and other places where ants may enter premises.
For indoor applications, using Alpine WSG along with both an ant bait gel (sweet) and granule bait (protein) in bait plate stations is a very effective treatment.
Normal cleaning practices in your home are fine after applying Alpine WSG however we recommend refraining from directly applying cleaning products to the treated areas as the residual could be removed. If treating for German Roaches, repeat applications of Alpine WSG should be reapplied every 14 days as well as replacing roach bait placements. Also, if you are not also using an insect growth regulator to interupt the reproduction cycle, this is recommended especially for German Roaches.
Please view our Roach Control Kits and our How to Get Rid of Roaches Treatment Guide for more information on a successful treatment program.
There really would be no reason to tank mix Alpine WSG with Cy-Kick CS or Taurus. They both are considered adulticides, but with different active ingredients. Exciter is meant to be added to insecticides to only give a faster initial knockdown and would not be good as a boost with Alpine WSG which is a non-repellent insecticide. Mixing something that is considered repellent with a non-repellent would null this aspect of the product until its residual was gone.
We recommend that only the applicator is present during the application of Alpine WSG. Once the surfaces treated are completely dried it is safe to return. You will want to make sure that is ventilated as much as possible and return about 2-4 hours later.
Alpine WSG will not be effective on fire ant mounds, please read our Fire Ant Guide to check our selection of fire ant control products.
Alpine WSG does not need to be mixed with Fipronil. Fipronil can only be sprayed up a foot and out a foot from the foundation so if you are wanting to get more coverage, you do not want to mix the two together.
It is not advised to mix the two residual insecticides Alpine WSG and Crossfire.
We are not medical professionals and we are not qualified to give medical advice. We recommend that your customer speaks to his doctor before Alpine WSG is sprayed.
Yes, Bifen LP Granules can be applied in the mulch beds and grass outside the perimeter of the foundation where the application of Alpine WSG and NyGuard IGR stops. These would not interfere with each other as long as the areas are not cross treated.
We recommend contacting your local waste management facility for instructions on where to take Alpine WSG waste in your area.
After the Alpine WSG applicaton has been mixed with water, sprayed and allowed to completely dry in the area behind the baseboard heater, this application should not pose any risk when the water pipes heat up. For further questions or concerns, please reach out to the manufacturer BASF directly for more information. BASF can be reached at 800-777-8570.
The rate for bed bugs is 10 to 30 grams of Alpine WSG. You can go at the high rate, to begin with, and make spot applications to the cracks and crevices.
We would recommend using the Temprid FX along to kill the bed bugs because you will be spraying in the same areas which would render each ineffective if sprayed over each other.
No, Alpine WSG cannot be used in a car or vehicles. Maxforce Roach Bait Stations or the Advion Roach Bait Arenas can be used in vehicles for roaches. Bait stations need to be replaced every 2 weeeks unitl roach activity has stopped and depending on the infestation level, it will likely take several weeks to completely get rid of the roaches.
Before treating, we recommend vacuuming the car thoroughly focusing on really getting deep into the cushions/seats, around the center consoles, floorboards,as well as under the seats and trunk area. Wipe down all surfaces (cupholders, consoles, seat adjusments, door panels, etc with an approved auto cleaner to remove any liquid residue. Keep the vehicle free from food, eating dishes or utensils, cups or water sources, clothing, bags, cardboard boxes, etc that will attract roaches.
Alpine WSG and Cy-kick CS should not be tank mixed together as the Cy Kick CS will counteract the non repellency of the Dinotefuran actve ingrdient.
The Alpine WSG uses Dinotefuran which is a non repellent so it is a slower kill but will transfer throughout the colony better than contact insecticides. Some may die sooner, those that directly contacted the treated area as opposed to those the active ingrdient was transferred to.
Alpine WSG is mixed at 30 grams per gallon of water. Per page 6 of the product label for yellow jackets, when treating nests inside wall voids, inject an amount sufficient to treat the entire nest. Most applications should require about ½ gallon of mixed solution. It also emphasizes that this product does NOT provide an instant knockdown.
