I am wondering what is the earliest The Anderson's 5-5-25 Fertilizer with Barricade Herbicide can be used in Zone 7, Northern Virginia?

I looked at the product label and it provides quite a bit of information, but, doesn't mention if this product is most effective when applied after the last frost, or just before weed germination (which is show to be March 20th in my area), or a specific air temperature minimum.

Answer:

You may contact your local cooperative extension office to determine the correct timing of the Andersons 5-5-25 Fertilizer with Barricade Herbicide application as this will vary greatly from region to region.   This division of the local university is available for homeowners to assist with disease identification, weed control, soil analysis, active ingredient or product recommendations as well as the best time to apply.

Pre-emergents are best applied before weed seeds germinate, and for spring that is typically around 55 degrees for most.
