Not worth the time or money

    By James on 11/28/2015

The consistent theme online was that too many turn out to be duds. "Fuses fall out" I bought a ok of 6 because they're readily available. First one was a dud. Hand held the second and put it in the hole after it started to smoke. Third one worked well also(handheld). Then 2 more duds.. Last one worked. 50% success rate. And the mole is still going strong..

Propellant did not light - lots of duds.

    By Tyler on 06/09/2020

Did not bother woodchucks one bit. Found out that the propellant did not light on 5/6 that were dug up. Fuse burned and that was it. Lots of similar complaints on Amazon so they must know by now and just keep selling them anyways.

    Useless in larger. yards

    By Dan on 01/20/2022

What they don't tell you is that you nave to dig into the MAIN tunnel- not just dig into the "horseshoe" spoil pile hole. Also, I've had two of these things just 'fizzle' and another time I tried, I had a know, verified main tunnel and also an open hole as a test 6ft away- not one bit of smoke came out of that hole. These are only good for maybe making the gophers leave for a while and end up digging other tunnels. With the reach and scope of typical pocket gopher activity here in Central Texas, you'd have to have literally dozens if not almost 100 of these things going off all at the same time, in perfect tunnel placement to even annoy one gopher. Coordinated, consistent trapping and mixing baits with some mushed-up fresh, fragrant peas and/or strawberries are the ONLY thing that has worked for us.
