    Q
Does Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate work on cankerworms?
    A

Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate provides year long control to trees and shrubs for listed insects on the label. It will not offer immediate contact kill for those pests listed. Systemics take time to work through targeted area. We do carry a residual insecticides such as Talstar P or Demand CS that can be applied to listed areas once monthly to the exterior of the structure on non-edible foliage and will eradicate cankerworms (inchworms) as well as other listed insects on the product label. You will treat on a dry day when you are not expecting any rainfall.

    Q
What is the rate of Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate for larger trees with a DBH of greater than 10 inches? My Summit Ash trees are about twice that size.
Do I use twice the ratio (60 oz/gallon) and pour up to 4' from the tree? Concerned mostly about ash borers. Emerald or regular. We also use Tanglefoot for canker worms here.
    A

You can use Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate on trees that are larger than 10" in circumference: you will just use more product. So you would still use 1 oz of concentrate per inch of trunk circumference diluted in water and applied around the base of the tree (not applied directly on the bark).

This product does have a low percentage of active ingredient. If you have large trees, then we suggest using a systemic product with more active ingredient in the concentrate so that you will not need as much product for each tree. Dominion 2L is a great option: you would use 0.1 - 0.2 oz of concentrate per inch of trunk diameter (not circumference) and apply the same way as a drench around the base of each tree.

    Q
What is the rate of Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate if my tree is 171 inches in diameter? Would I use 171 oz with 2 gallons of water.
    A

If you are using Bonide Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate for your tree, you would use 171 ounces of the concentrate to treat a tree which has a circumference of 171 inches. The exact amount of water is not as important as using the correct amount of insecticide; you just want to be sure you are using enough water to apply the insecticide all the way around the base of the tree. We recommend a minimum of 2 gallons of water for a tree that size.

    Q
Will Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate kill webworms on a pecan tree that is not producing nuts yet?
The pecan tree was on my place when I moved here. It's about 30' high, with a circumference of 25." I started fertilizing it 2 years ago. It's looking a lot better except for all the webworms on it.

A clerk in a store told me to use Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate on my garden. Would this be dangerous?
I can't find any thing on the label saying to use it on your vegetables.

    Q
Will Bonide Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate work for a psyllid infestation on a California pepper tree?
My 30 ft. tall pepper tree is infested with psyllid. Is the product potent enough to eliminate this pest when applied in a drenching solution around the trunk? Dosage? Is something else more effective? Thank you for your help.
    A

Yes, Bonide Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate is labeled to treat for psyllids. The product label recommends a usage rate of 30 oz. per gallon of water for a 30 ft tall tree with a diameter of 10".  You will need to pour this about 2 ft out from the base of the tree and get it evenly applied around the circumference.
