I applied Ortho Home Defense MAX inside the crevasse of cinderblocks I am using to build a raised vegetable bed.

Ortho did not touch the outer block where dirt or plants will be. None of the dirt to fill the bed has been added yet. Is it still safe to plant or do I need some type of additional barrier? Or do I need to wait a year before planting?

Answer:

Neither of the active ingredients in Ortho Home Defense MAX is known to leach in the soil. Consequently, any treated soil should be kept outside the root zones of the intended plants.
