    Q
How long after application may pets be allowed into an area that was fogged or sprayed with Bac-A-Zap?
    A

When treating common areas in the home with Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator where pets are living you need to give the product a few hours to dry before allowing the animals back into the area.  This can very depending on how much you spray or fog and how saturated the walls, flooring or furnature get.  We recommend that you give it at least a few hours to fully dry.  Please refer the the manufactuers label for complete instructions.

    Q
    Is Bac-A-Zap septic tank safe?
Can I use it in my toilet and/or drains if I have a septic tank?
    A

No, Bac-A-Zap cannot be used inside of a septic tank, however, this product can be used inside of a toliet bowl.

We would recommend using Nibor-D directly inside of your septic tank. This is an emulsifiable disinfectant product.

    Q
Can Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator be used for getting rid of pet urine in tile/grout?
I have tried everything to rid my home of pet urine (dogs) smell within our tile grout. Once we open doors or windows or turn off a\c and humidity gets in the smell returns. Is this the best product to apply on grout? If not which would be? If so, is it applied as a drench, spot spray, etc? Also, I am sensitive to smells, does it have a smell any product with minimal smell would be best. Thank you
    A

Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator is labeled for absorbing odors including urine, it does have a mild odor. The product is also available in a concentrate bottle which can be diluted for larger spaces. We would recommend cleaning the tile and grout first and then apply.  It might take a few applications.  The other issue is if the urine soaked through past the grout and got to areas under it, it could still come back, which would only be confirmed if the grout/tile is removed.

    Q
Will heat stop Bac A Zap enzymes from working? How long to wait for steam cleaning after applying?
    A

Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator states that the use of harsh floor cleaners, disinfectants, and bleach will severely effect the efficiency of the product. We would wait as long as possible before steaming as it will likely mess with the residual. For further assistance on this subject, we would recommend contacting the manufacturer. • Asked by Eric from Chicago
    07/16/2023
    Q
A bird died in our dryer vent, and now our dryer stinks. The bird was removed, but the smell remains. Will Bac-A-Zap help?
Can the product be sprayed into the lint trap of a dryer to eliminate the smell of dead bird?
    A

It probably wouldn't be harmful to use Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator if everything is completely dry before running the dryer again. We are not sure if there is anything in the product that would be an issue if it got hot from the actual use of the dryer afterward. The lint trap can be removed and sprayed but if you are spraying into the dryer itself or the channels the lint blows out of through the tubing behind the dryer, then we would recommend checking with the manufacturer to be sure. Q
Can Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator be used in laundry?
    A

Bac-A-Zap Odor Eliminator is not labeled for use in laundry. We do have a concentrate called Odaway Odor Eliminator Concentrate that can be diluted in a sprayer bottle at a rate of 1:5 with water or added to cleaning or laundry, so that product may work better for you, depending on the type of machine that you have. We do recommend checking with the manufacturer of the machine for what type of products work best in it.
