    Q
What is dilution ratio for a 4.5 gallon backpack sprayer?
Product label states I should apply 4 oz of this product per 1,000 sq ft. I need to treat 10,000 sq ft so I need to apply a total of 40 oz of product. How should I dilute if I am using a 4.5 gallon back pack sprayer to apply?
    A
Normally 1 gallon mixed solution will treat 1000 sq. feet. With that being said you would need approx. 16oz Banner Maxx II Fungicide  per 4.5 gallon of water.

    Q
What is the mix rate for Banner Maxx II Fungicide?
    A

Banner Maxx II Fungicide can be applied at anywhere from 0.5 – 4 ounces per 1000 sq ft.  Not exceeding 4 ounces per 1000 sq ft.  Generally speaking, one gallon of mixed solution will treat approx. 1000 sq ft, therefore you can mix 0.5 – 4 ounces into one gallon of water.

    Q
Can Banner Maxx II Fungicide be applied with a hose end sprayer?
I have a St. Augustine lawn and I am using it to prevent brown patch.
    A

It is not recommended to use the Banner Maxx II Fungicide in a hose end applicator as they do not deliver an even application and most do not go down to a low enough setting for proper dilution.

  • Asked by George from Medford, Or

    Q
Can I apply Banner Maxx II Fungicide in direct sunlight?
I use Banner Max to treat black spot on my Rhaphiolepis. I was told to not apply in sunlight. Is this so the fungicide will be absorbed before evaporation? Or is there a photosynthesis effect? I sprayed today at 7:45 AM just as the sun was coming up.
    A

Banner Maxx II Fungicide should not be applied during the heat of the day when there is full sunlight as this is when plants are more stressed and will not absorb the product as readily as during less stressful times.  Early morning applications are fine.

    Q
How do I use Banner Maxx II to treat for brown patch?
In your detail block, it says do not apply more than 5.4 gallons in a a calendar year. I have 15,500 sqft of tall fescue grass and need to know how many times to apply in weeks or months on my grass before I purchase your product. Thank you!
    A

Per the Banner Maxx II Fungicide product label you would apply 1-2 fl oz per 1000 sqft at 14-21 day intervals.  Begin applications in May or June before disease is present. Tank-mix with a registered contact fungicide labeled for brown patch control at the label rate. Under conditions of high temperatures and high humidity, use the higher rates of Banner MAXX II and shorter intervals.
