    Q
Does Bedlam have propoxur in it?
In Columbus, Ohio it was on the news that a proven method for bed bugs is the propouxur 40 spray and i want to get it and try so is this true?
    A
Bedlam does not have Propoxur in it.  We are not sure how accurate the statement is or how well Propoxur works.  It is still very preliminary.  We do carry an aerosol with Propoxur called Invader HPX

I have a 5 month old baby. Is Bedlam safe to stay in the house after a few hours have passed?
We found that her bumpers had the bulk of it, we didn't see any in her mattress, then again we don't have micro vision for the baby ones.
    A
It is safe to be in the house after the treatment has dried completely, usually about 2 hours.

    Q
Do I need to buy something separate or throw out my sons bed?
My son has a wood bed,I mean everything on it is wood including the box spring drawers underneath it the whole shabang and he loves his bed so much do i have to throw it out or should i buy something else besides the bedbug kit
    A
You do not have to discard the bed. The Bed Bug kits come with products that can be sprayed on the bed frame and around the perimeter of the room. You may want to purchase a mattress and box spring cover.Bedlam aerosol in the kits may be used for spot treatments on mattresses, upholstered furniture, drawers, bed frames, carpeted areas, curtains... You may also use Bedlam to knock down fleeing bedbugs after initial treatment of other insecticides.  Includes a straw tool for spraying into small cracks, crevices and other hiding places. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

    Q
Bedlam efficacy on bird mites and/or rodent mites
I'm battling what is almost certainly bird mites. I purchased onslaught which slaughtered them, and Steri-Fab for daily use inside of car, pet bedding, etc. This combination worked!!! Until 7 to 10 days later...I slacked the first time around and missed a birds nest that took 3 to 4 hours, 5 trips and at least 10 bottles of water to find lol. I don't want to slack this time around and think my mite pillaging will be much more enjoyable and thorough if I had an aerosol can (opposed to lugging around a sprayer). I intend to spray every square inch of my attic including a "light" broadcast to my sprayed insulation. Would you recommend Bedlam for this application (or Bedlam plus?), or something different?
    A
Neither Bedlam nor Bedlam Plus are labeled for use to control bird mites, so we would not recommend either product for this application. We do not have an aerosol or liquid concentrate that we would recommend for use on top of spray insulation. Please view our Mite Control Page for assistance with identification to see what kind of treatment, if any, may be necessary.

Bedlam is only available in an aerosol. There is a new product called Bedlam Plus which has a foaming action but is also ready-to-use. One of the most popular liquid concentrates for bed bug treatments is Temprid SC.

    Q
Emergency! I sprayed my entire couch and recliner. I thought I read the whole label.
I then saw NOT to spray all over. I feel like an idiot. I have a daughter and two dogs and a cat. Are they now in danger? What can I do? We are on these items every day. Are they trash now?
    A
Bedlam Insecticide sprayed over entire couch should not be hazardous. Since it was applied off label, however, please contact MGK the manufacturer at 800-645-6466.

  • Asked by Sheri from San Diego, Ca
    06/24/2018
    Q
Should I use both Bedlam and Sterifab for bedbug control?
    A

You certainly could use both Bedlam and Sterifab.  Keep in mind that Sterifab is for contact killing only.  It will kill just about anything it is sprayed on, but once it is dry, it does not continue to work.  Bedlam also kills on contact, and will continue to work for several weeks once dry.  Please look over our Bed Bug Guide for more information on how to implement a successful treatment program.

    Q
Can you apply bedlam to leather car seats?
Can you leave bedlam in a closed up car overnight?
    A

Bedlam Insecticide isn’t labeled for applications inside of vehicles.  If using for bedbugs inside the vehicle use Crossfire Aerosol this is labeled for vehicles and will not stain surfaces.  It recommends testing in an inconspicuous area first and allowing the area to dry before using in large areas.

    Q
I used Bedlam and Phantom on my wood bed. It left a white residue. How do I clean it off?
How do I clean off the white residue left on my bedroom furniture?
    A

Bedlam Insecticide Aerosol and Phantom should not be applied at the same time in the same areas because discoloration can occur.  You should be able to remove any residue with warm water and soap.  Apply one product only to cracks and crevices of the bed frame until visibly wet but not dripping.

    Q
Does BedLam Insecticide have tannic Acid in it?
I need to kill dust mites.
    A
The manufacturers only reveal their active ingredients, not their inert ingredients so we are not sure if Bedlam contains tannic acid. You may contact the manufacturer MGK at 800-645-6466 to find out more information. Bedlam is labeled for dust mites.

  • Asked by Joe
    04/15/2011
    Q
If I spray Bedlam, then bed bug contacts treated areas, then same bed bug bites me, could I be poisoned?
The product label says not to get Bedlam on your skin.
    A
The tiny minute amount of dry deposits of Bedlam that a bed bug may pickup would not be enough to cause any issues for a human. The label is referring to people trying to actually spray themselves with Bedlam or trying to treat their sheets, blankets or clothes with the product. These types of applications would be dangerous.

  • Asked by Mark from Ny

    Q
Does Bedlam kill all stages of Fleas and their eggs?
    A
Bedlam is labeled to kill all stages of bedbugs including eggs. You should note that even products that are labeled to kill bedbug eggs are not able to kill 100% of the eggs and you will still be required to do follow up treatments every 7-10 days until no further evidence (bites, blood stains, cast skins, fecal deposits) of bedbugs is noticed.

  • Asked by Neil from New York, Ny

    Q
What should I use on a metal bedframe for bedbugs?
I cannot find any trace evidence of BB, but really have no idea what I'm looking for. ClimbUps in place, but nothing that I can visibly see in there.
    A
Bedlam would be a good choice for bedbug control on your bed-frame. We do recommend that you do a quick search on google to see what a bedbug infestation looks like so you will be better prepared and will know what to look for in your home.

  • Asked by Lorraine from Fall River, Ma.
    05/08/2012
    Q
Is it advisable to move furniture (for decorating purposes) after bed bug problem has lessened and/or ended?
I live in a studio apartment. In preparing to treat a mild infestation, I moved my bed away from the wall. I'd like to re-position it and some other pieces for convenience and space considerations, but I'm afraid I may uproot anything that has not died from treatment. I've used Bedlam, Steri-Fab and DE.
    A
If you have any remaining bedbugs in your home you want them to get moving so they will get into the insecticides that you have applied and be eliminated before they start reproducing. Moving your furniture should not negatively effect your bedbug treatment unless you are moving infested furniture into un-infested rooms. Please find our article How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs.
