    How long does Bedlam take to kill the bedbugs?
    I used bedlam to treat my unit. I don't have any furniture expect mattress. I don't have box-spring for the mattress too. Even I washed and dried all my clothes in a dryer I sprayed bedlam along the edge of the carpet, drawers, cracks & cervices. I done my level best But am still seeing the bedbug in my unit. This is my second treatment after a month.. So i'm worried how the bedlam is effective?.. How long bedlam take to kill the bedbugs. Still how many times should i treat my unit

    Bedlam will kill within a matter of minutes depending on which aged bed bug comes in contact with the treated area. In order to eradicate the bed bugs from the unit and prevent them from coming in from other units you want to treat the wall voids as well. You can use something such as Delta dust to dust inside wall voids such as outlets and light switches. Also, it does take time and persistence to fully eradicate bed bugs.     I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant, How long should I avoid Bedlam Insecticide treated areas?
    Can these chemicals harm my baby?
    A
    A surface treated with Bedlam would want to be avoided until the surface had dried. Once dry, it completely safe to resume normal activity in the treated area. We do not recommend that you do the treatment, but rather have someone else spray for you just to stay on the side of caution during pregnancy. You can also contact your doctor for more instructions on what would be best for you and your baby during treatment.

    Should I vacuum up the DE first? Can I apply Bedlam to the couch and car seats?
    Daughter found bedbugs in apt and afraid one followed her home. I put down Diatomaceous Earth while waiting for your products. Do I vacuum that up first? I bought FenvaStar and Bedlam- do I use the Bedlam on the fabric items-couch, carseats, mattress tufts/seams and the FenvaStar on baseboards for most efficient use? Can I spray the whole couch cushion-where we sit/lie down or just the crevices of the couch? Is Gentrol ok to mix into the FenvaStar on mixing? Thanks for ALL your Help!

    We recommend that you vacuum every couple of days. You can apply DE to wall voids, electrical outlets, light switch plates and other areas where you do not want to treat with a liquid (around electrical wiring etc). You can mix Gentrol IGR and FenvaStar EcoCap together with water and apply to the baseboards and other listed areas on the product label. Bedlam can be applied the cracks and crevices of baseboards, headboards, footboards, hard surface furniture, behind picture frames and wall hangings, seams of the mattress, etc. We do recommend that you spray upholstered furniture with SteriFab.     Which spray do you recommend could be applied safely to bedding for bedbugs
    A
    There are no real products that will be applied to bedding. You want to keep up with washing and drying on high heat. You can however use products to treat the seams of mattresses and box springs like Bedlam.

    No, Bedlam Insecticide is not labeled for bird mites. It is labeled for dust mites.

    I would like to find a product that i can apply to my clothes before going to work so i dont end up bringing any bugs at home from my job. any bugs like lice or pubic lice or head lice. Thanks

    Can I use the Bedlam spray after the dusting with CimeXa?
    They said the dust will last ten years. Will the Bedlam ruin it's effectiveness? I had a heat treatment done also.

    In addition to any heat treatments for bedbug control, we highly recommend that you apply the products in our Bedbug Kits. This will offer all the necessary products for a professional treatment and the follow up applications. You can apply the Bedlam to the crevices and allow to completely dry and apply the CimeXa Dust under the baseboards or under carpeted edges.     Should I mop after using Bedlam spray on hardwood floors for fleas?
    A

    Bedlam Insecticide Aerosol is not labeled to be used as a broadcast on flooring so if this was done it would be recommended to mop the area to remove the product.  Treatment using Bedlam should be directed to the cracks and crevices around the room and of the flooring instead of all over.     How dangerous is Bedlam Insecticide Aerosol?
    A

    Bedlam Insecticide Aerosol is safe when applied as directed on the label.  People should be out of the area during treatment until dry other than the applicator.  If you feel safer wearing a mask and gloves you may do so but it is not required. Application should be directed to cracks and crevices.

    Can Bedlam be broadcast on the carpet in my bedroom? If no, what can?
    A
    Bedlam is not labeled to be used as a broadcast spray over your carpet. If you are treating for bed bugs there is really no reason to spray your entire carpet. Bed bugs do not live out in the open on your carpet and they usually do not travel out in the open across the carpet. Instead, like most insects, bedbugs choose to travel right up against the wall. We recommend that you concentrate your treatments to places that bed bugs harbor such as under the lip of the carpet, under baseboards, on mattresses, boxsprings, bed rails, headboards, foot boards, etc. Bedlam would be appropriate for most of those areas. If you are in fact dealing with a pest that infests carpets, such as fleas, you can check out Ultracide. Ultracide is made specifically for flea infestations in carpet.

    Carpet beetles larvae
    Found the main problem inside my couches. I found a lot of shell casing inside the couch and quite a few live ones. and 1 in between the box spring and mattress. I removed the material on the back of the box spring and got rid of the wool on the corners with the sheddings on it, but did not find any live ones. my questions is can they hurt me and my dog. should I throw away my box spring and couches.

    Is Bedlam Insecticide effective against sarcoptic mange?
    My dog is being treated for sarcoptic mange. Trying to take care of the environment as well. Would like to spray on couches, floors, beds, etc. Or would you recommend a different pesticide for this problem?

    No, Bedlam Insecticide is not labeled for sarcoptic mange. There are few products that are labeled for that pest. Since your pet has already been treated, we would recommend that you wash and dry (high heat) all bedding and thoroughly vacuum all resting areas. Indoors you can use a product called Steri-Fab on all upholstered furniture, rugs and pet beds and resting areas. Outdoors you can use a product called Permethrin SFR on pet resting areas and other areas frequented by your pet. In most cases, it is not necessary to treat the outdoor environment unless it is frequented by animals such as stray dogs or foxes because sarcoptic mites cannot live very long off of the host animal (usually not more than 72 hours).

    What is the best product to use on wood furniture for potential bedbugs?
    Bought a fabulous hutch at a thrift store. Have Steri-Fab in house, it removed finish from furniture. I was going to repaint it anyway. Going forward, is there a product that I can use that will keep finish intact?

    If you had trouble using Steri-Fab, then we would recommend switching to a water-base product (Steri-Fab has an alcohol base). A popular choice would be Bedlam Aerosol, which also comes with a crack and crevice straw for easy spot and joint applications. Bedlam is generally safe on most surfaces, however we would still recommend testing a small area if the furniture has shown sensitivity to other sprays.

    One of our most effective products for Carpet Beetls is Bedlam. You can apply it to cracks and crevices where you have seen the activity. Be sure to vacuum as often as possible and discard of contents outdoors.

    Bedlam Insecticide Aerosol is only applied to cracks and crevices around rooms not to carpets.  If  vacuuming these areas you want to do so before applying.

    Will Bedlam help with moths in bird taxidermy?
    A

    Bedlam Aerosol is labeled to treat carpet beetles and clothes moths as a crack and crevice treatment. Although it is water-based, we cannot recommend using it directly on taxidermied items. D-Force is a different aerosol product which is frequently used as a crack and crevice spray for cloth mothes and hide beetles. We do also sell a variety of Clothes Moth Traps and Beetle Traps, but be sure to select a trap appropriate for the pest you are treating.
