There is not a time restriction on how soon you can reseed after applying Bifen IT. You may apply at same time or in separate applications.
Bifen IT is great product for perimeter control. The label recommends using it at a rate of 0.5 oz per gallon of water and it can be reapplied every 30 days. If you’ve been using it for a long time and no longer getting results, you can rotate to a different product, like Demand CS. If you are seeing activity indoors, you can spray on baseboards, cracks and crevices. You may also want to apply a dust into the wall voids like Delta Dust. We would recommend reading over our Getting Rid of Earwigs article for further tips and information.
Depending on what you're treating for, we almost always recommend using an IGR such as NyGuard IGR with Bifen IT. If you are just doing prevention there is no need to use one or when treating for pests such as spiders or ants. However, other insects such as mosquitoes, fleas, etc do require one.
Bifen IT is not designed to be used along the perimeter of lakes since it is harmful to aquatic life so would not be used around docks. We recommend keeping Bifen IT treatments at least 25 feet from bodies of water to avoid runoff into the lake. You could use the all natural EcoVia instead which many folks use to treat their docks for mosquitoes spiders, and other insects that is safe around water.
People and pets should be kept out of the area until the application of Bifen IT (or any insecticide) has completely dried. This can usually take 1-2 hours. Once dry, it is safe to reenter the area.
Bifen IT will not affect your trenching treatment done with Termidor SC. Bifen I/T is considered a repellent. When treating for ants, you can spray the lawn, trees and shrubs, along with 3 foot up the side of your home, 3 feet out into the soil all the way around the perimeter foundation of your home, around doors and windows and around the eaves and soffits of your home monthly.
