    Q
What is the difference between bifenthrin and Bifenazate?
I'm trying to figure out which products I should use in rotation for spider mites. What is the difference between Bifenthrin and Bifenazate? Are they safe to use in a pesticide rotation one after the other or are they basically the same?
    A

Bifenthrin and Bifenazate are used to treat different types of insects. Bifenthrin is mainly for general pest control use and is an ingredient in products such as Talstar P and Bifen IT.  Bifenazate is a type of miticide and is an ingredient in products such as Floramite SC and Sirocco Miticide. We would not recommend rotating these two products for mite control. Bifenazate is a good active ingredient for spider mites, as well as Abamectin, which is the active ingredient in Avid 0.15 EC.

    Q
How long is Bifen IT effective on roaches?
We discovered that our roaches are worse than we thought. How long does it take to kill them? After it dries, is it still working or does it just kill if they are directly sprayed with it?
    A
Bifen IT does leave a residual and will continue killing long after it dries.  Typically, for roach problems you would want to apply every 30 days.  However, for most roach infestations spraying alone is not enough.  Using a roach bait up in the cabinets and drawers along with spraying down low under and behind appliances and along baseboards is the best way to eradicate a roach problem. Of course, sanitation and cleanliness also has to be a part of the plan.

    Q
In live in So CA. Huge spider problem. What's the best indoor/outdoor product available?
    Daddy long leg spiders.
    A
We would recommend using Bifen IT for treating indoors and outdoors. Bifen IT is a great general all purpose insecticide that can be used as a perimter treatment on the outside of home (windows, doors, foundation, yard, trees, bushes) and inside as a crack and crevice spray. You will get a 30 day residual on the outside of the home and 90 residual on the inside of home.

    Q
How long does it take to see results when using Bifen I/T for leafhoppers?
    A

Keep in mind that Bifen IT is not a contact kill.  How long it takes to see results will depend on several factors, including how healthy the leafhopper is and how long it spends on a treated surface.  It could be hours or even a couple of days.

    A

The Cypress trees will not be affected by Bifen IT when used as directed, it is known for being super gentle on plants. It is safe to spray onto those areas, and may return once product has dried. If your friend is applying the product, we encourage them to wear long sleeves, long pants, and a face mask to protect them while spraying.

    Q
Once Bifen It is applied to the yard and baseboards, how long does it take to kill brown dog ticks?
    A
How long it takes the ticks to die after they come into contact with a treated area will depend on a number of factors. It will depend on the maturity of the tick as well as how long they stayed on the treated area, how long it has been since the area was treated and the concentration that was used to treat the area. Typically it can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a day or so for them to die. It can take several weeks for you to stop seeing ticks indoors because the ticks like to stay hidden which also means they could be staying out of treated areas and eggs may hatch out prolonging the infestation. We recommend doing follow up treatments every two weeks at the highest usage rate of 1 oz of product per gallon of water until you do not see any ticks.
