    I have a baseball field to spray for fire ants. What rate do you use Bifen IT at and how much to cover approx. two acres?
    A

    The best control will be achieved by using broadcast treatments in combination with mound drenches when using Bifen IT. This will control present colonies along with foraging workers and newly mated fly-in queens. It is critical either to use high volume treatments or to irrigate prior to application if the soil is dry. Apply 1 fl. oz. per 1,000 square feet when using broadcast treatments. For mound drenches, dilute 1 teaspoon of Bifen I/T per gallon of water and use 1 to 2 gallons of finished dilution using sufficient force to penetrate the top and allow dilution to flood ant channels. Treat a four foot diameter around each ant mound. Application should be made in late evening or early morning when it is cooler (65

    If my dog eats grass that Bifen IT is sprayed and dryer on will it harm her?
    A

    Bifen IT should be applied and dried prior to the entry of the dogs. Once dry, it is safe for their return. It will not reactivate when wet again.Your dog would have to eat a lot of grass most likely to get sick, and he/she would probably get much more sick from the grass then the product.  However, of course we recommend anything you can do to minimize your dog from eating the grass.

    I purchased Bifen & Nyguard for tick control. Can this be applied with a hose end sprayer?
    A

    Yes, Bifen IT can be used in a hose end sprayer. You will use 1 fl. oz. of solution and 5.5 ml of Nyguard IGR per gallon of water. You will put the concentrate directly into the cannister, and the tube will automatically use how much you have on the dial. It will disperse with each gallon that comes through the hose. You will need to be as accurate as possible when using this method. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Have been using Bifen IT with good results for pests, but could you recommend something with a quick knockdown?
    A
    The ExciteR Insecticide is specifically designed to be added to any insecticide you are already using to provide you with a much stronger and faster initial knock down, while the Bifen continues to give you the longer lasting residual. However, we may be able to give you a more accurate product recommendation if we know what pest in particular you are treating for and wanting a quicker knock down with.     Can you spray Bifen IT directly on anthills?
    There are some ant hills in our backyard and I was wondering if you should spray bifen on those? And if you should then exactly how and how much? I wouldn't want to just cause them to scatter or something. Thanks

    Shelf life...
    I purchased a gallon about a year and a half ago but haven't used it as much as I anticipated. It's currently separated and I'm wondering if it can simply be remixed or if it's gone bad and needs to be disposed of.

    Bifen IT has a shelf life of 3-5 years if kept in a cool dry area. If you notice separation, that is normal and you can shake it up and it still be effective.

    Can I use the Bifen IT in a backpack fogger for outdoor use?
    A

    Bifen IT cannot be used a ULV or thermal fogging machine. You can use it in a handheld or backpack sprayer or a mist blower such as the Solo 451.

    Can Bifen IT be used in a propane insect fogger?
    Trying to more effectively spray for mosquitoes. Hose end sprayer seems to produce too large water droplets. Need a mist or fog.

    You cannot use Bifen IT is a propane fogger. The heat will detroy the effectiveness of the product. Youc an use the product in a mist blower such as the Solo 451.

    Is it wise to use Bifen IT along with Actellic?
    A
    We are unfamiliar with Actellic. We recommend that you contact the manufacturer directly to seek advice on whether or not you should supplement their product with a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide such as Bifen IT.
