Bifen IT can be sprayed 3 feet up the side of the house, and 3 feet into the soil all the way around the perimteter foundation of the home. When treating for fleas, you will need to apply under decks, under trees, in places where leaves or other yard debris accumulates or areas where dense shrubbery exists. There is little need to spray open, sunny areas, dry and dusty areas or hard surfaces such as patios or driveways as fleas will not be able to develop in those areas. When treating for noseeums, you want to focus on treating those same areas, along with the understands of tree canopies, interior of shrubs and bushes, and damp areas in your lawn.
Bifen IT can be applied quarterly to interior cracks and crevices and monthly to listed exterior areas at 1 fl oz per gallon per 1,000 sq ft.

You can use a temporary marking dye such as Turf Mark Blue with the Bifen I/T or any insecticide you plan to use for tick control. Bifen would be a great choice, and in the areas of the property you suspect the highest populations of ticks, you can mix in an IGR such as Archer IGR to help stop their reproductive cycle and reduce the amount of future generations you would be contending with in the yard. Bifen IT is not labeled for use in ULV or Thermal Fogging devices, but can be used in standard mist blowers.
Most of the Ryobi machines state in the manual that they do not allow for use of professional grade products which is what we mainly carry. You would need to contact the Ryobi manufacturer for the best advice on a product to use. The only option we have that might be an option is the Mosquito Beater Which is a consumer grade product.

There really are no temperature/time restrictions for applying Bifen IT. It can be applied at any time of day as long as you are not expecting any rain for at least 24 hours.
Bifen IT should only be applied to interior cracks and crevices quarterly (where floor meets the wall) and monthly to listed exterior areas as directed.
When using Bifen IT for armyworms irrigation is not necessary. You actually need to try to have no irrigation or rainfall for at least 24 hours after the application. Under chinch bug treatment it does advice that in order to optimize the penetration of the insecticide you can water the area prior to the treatment. If grass is being kept at a long mowing height or if the thatch layer is excessive, use higher volume treatments. It may be necessary to use higher application rates (up to 1 fluid oz. per 1000 square feet) to control populations made up of both adults and nymphs in mid-summer. Complete instructions are on the product label for each pest as well.
Bifen IT can be used as a trench method of termites directly around the foundation for Subterranean Termites and will provide a 1 year barrier protection. Application rates for Bifen IT are 1 fl oz per gallon of water using 4 gallons of mixed solution every 10 linear feet in a 6 in x 6 in trench.
For Termite Trench Treatments, a better product would be Taurus SC as this product lasts in the soil for 10 year barrier protection against termites. Taurus SC is applied at 0.8 fl oz per gallon of water with using 4 gallons of mixed solution every 10 linear feet in a 6 in x 6 in trench.
