Bifen IT is a great product for spider mites, as well as many other pests. Bifen IT is one of our most popular products and can be used both indoors and outside. Just keep in mind that Bifen IT cannot be used on vegetable gardens or fruit bearing trees or anything you plan on eating. When using Bifen IT or other insecticides/miticides, we would recommend switching miticides every 30 days or so.
Bifen I/T is one of our most popular products for mosquito control. Bifen XTS is basically the same product, just in a higher concentration, and oil-based instead of water-based. Either sprayer or mister application would be effective with either product as long as the application is thorough. Oil-based products such as Bifen XTS can stain some surfaces. This is not usually a concern in most areas outside, but you should use caution when treating around the siding of a home. Most oil-based products such as Bifen XTS do have a "chemical" odor but it is not especially strong.
Do not spray any bifenthrin product in a way that would contact the pond with direct spray, drift, or runoff.
Mosquitoes lay their eggs in standing water, so if there are any areas of standing water where you are treating, those should be treated as well with Altosid Pro-G Mosquito Larvicide if you prefer not to use BTI Mosquito Dunks.

Bifen IT is labeled for springtails and should work well to help you get rid of them. It does not kill on contact. The amount of time it takes for a springtail to die after coming into contact with a treated area will depend on a number of factors such as how healthy the springtail is, what stage of life it is in, and how long it spends in contact with a treated surface. It could take anywhere from a couple of hours up to a full day. Also, keep in mind that if you are not treating the main nest, and only the satellite colony, you are only be temporarily fixing your problem. More will appear as they continue to migrate. Springtails are attracted to areas that are high in moisture so if there is a moisture issue this will need to be identified and addressed as well. Until the moisture is gone or the main nest is found and eliminated, you will have an ongoing battle with this pest. You may want to look over our Springtails Treatment Guide for more tips and information.
It is not recommended to leave any type of chemical in areas where they could freeze or over heat because of the potential for the chemical to break down. According to the manufacturer, as long as the Bifen IT was only exposed to sub freezing temperatures for a short period of time and the product looks exactly the same as before it was exposed, it should be fine.
Bifen IT will kill yellow jackets but only if they land on a surface you have treated. Have you tried looking outside in the morning or early afternoon? This is when yellow jackets are most active and chances are you can see where they are going into your home which usually would be under some siding or through a small opening in brick or around a window. If you can locate their entry point then it is an easy fix. Early in the morning or late at night when the yellow jackets are not flying around and not active, you can apply Tempo Dust into the opening using a hand duster. If you can locate the entry point, then this treatment will usually kill all of the yellow jackets within 24 hours. Once there is no more activity, you want to be sure to close the opening with caulk or some other method so future yellow jackets do not try to use the same entry point.
