No, Bifen LP would not be effective for mosquito control. The adult mosquitoes actually hang out in trees and bushes and the larva develop in standing water. Bifen LP granules can only be used to treat lawns and soil for insect infestation. You can use Bifen IT which is the liquid formulation of Bifen to treat for adult mosquitoes. Mosquito larva can be eliminated with BTI Mosquito Dunks which can be placed directly into water sources such as ponds, unused pools and other areas of standing water.

Bifen Granules are not labeled for use in poultry areas, so we would not suggest it for this use. Regarding other animals, you would need to keep animals out of the treatment area until the granules have been watered in and the application is dry. You could, however, use Bifen IT liquid inseticide, which is labeled for use in poultry houses. You should keep any animals out of the treatment area until the application is dry.
Bifen granules will not kill your lawn, however, we do not recommend applying more than the product label states. This can be hazardous to your health, and could potentially adversely effect the eradication of the targeted insect. Bifen Granules are safe for use on yards where children and pets will walk as long as you follow the product label. Be sure that both children and pets are out of the area during the application and until the treated area is dry. When applied as directed, there is only enough active ingredient to harm small insects. We would ecommend that you contact Control Solutions, the manufacturer, at 281-892-2500 and your veterinarian for further assistance.
Once you have watered in the Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules and the treated areas have had to time to dry completely, rainfall and regular watering should not reduce the effectiveness of the product. Bifen Granules recently had a product label change and the new label no longer lists springtails as a target pest. We recommend Demand G Granules to control springtails and they can be used as a perimeter application or over your entire lawn. Children can safely return to the treated area after it is completely dry. Please refer to our How To Get Rid Of Springtails article to see proper treatment methods for the pest and where to look for sources of the nesting site.

Yes, Bifen Granules will treat ground pearls. You would use at a rate of 2 lbs for every 1000 sq/ft, and retreat once a month for 3 months. Before you treat, please be aware that it is important to know that one of the more common traits with ground pearls is they seem to like soil with low PH levels. We would recommend that you have your soil tested to see what the PH levels are, and get that corrected first and then treat with the Bifen Granules.
Bifen L/P is best applied when air temperatures are above freezing and the ground is not frozen
We don't have the exact spreader setting to apply Bifen Granules with your model spreader. The easiest way to determine the correct setting for your needs is outlined below:
Ex: If you need to use 3 lbs of product per 1,000 sq ft you would add 3 lb of product to spreader, start with a medium setting, then apply product to a 20 x 50 ft area (1,000 sq ft). If you have product left, your setting is too low. If you run out of product, your setting is too high
Bifen Granules is not a systemic so will not be absorbed but is also not labeled to be used around edibles. Applications should be kept outside the dripline of the Pecan trees.
Yes, you can absolutely use the Bifen LP Granules on your rock landscaping for further control. Water it in with roughly 1/2 rainfall equivalent and it will slowly break down over about 2 months or so to give continuous insect control. Many customers do the same thing you are with spraying around the foundation as it gives you the ability to get vertical surface treatment and any bushes that may be around as well as long term protection further out with the granules.
