    Will Bifen help get rid of the insect that attracts the moles that are destroying my yard
    Moles are destroying my yard, this is the first year of 25 that this has happened. Tried mole granules, pellets, poison worms, sensor stakes, nothing works.

    Bifen granules can be used for eliminating a variety of insects in a lawn, however it would have no effect on moles currently in your yard. When treating for an animal you must treat for the animal directly, not indirectly. You would want to look over our Mole Control Guide and see what the options are for mole treatments to find the one that best suits your needs. There are step by step instructions and pro tips to help you get the most from your treatments. You can use poisons, traps, gassers, and in some instances repellents although that would be used more so after a problem had already been eliminated from the yard. Poisons worms like Talpirid are the most effective, however if you do not follow the instructions strictly and test the runs for multiple days before placing the worms in the designated areas you will fail every time. If you need assistance on how to place baits to have them work for your needs feel free to give us a call and we can go over the application with you and make sure you are not doing anything that could be working against your treatment.

    Does Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules work on armyworms?
    A

    Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules does include armyworms as a target pest on the label. Application rate of 1.15 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. To ensure optimum control when treating for armyworms, irrigate the treated area with up to 0.1 inches of water immediately after application to activate the insecticide.

    If the Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules is activated by rain or irrigation, why does the label say don't apply in rain?
    A

    Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules should not be applied during rain as the granules will start to break down/begin to work and be active when contacted with water.  While applying you do not want the granules to get wet and possibly clump in your spreader

    Will this product kill cicada killer wasps?
    Annual arrivals of cicada killer hornets, going on five years now has tripled.

    For preventative control, applying the Bifen Granules now will treat before the Cicada Killers start burrowing into the ground and help reduce the population. Once they have started to burrow and make holes in the ground, then you can apply the Tempo 1% Dust. Also, the Bifen LP Granules would not yield immediate results, but stop them from returning the following year.

    I have spiders in blue spruce trees and they are dying from the inside out, what should I use?
    A

    Talstar works well for both the mature and the immature spider mites. It provides optimal spider mite control when applied during spring to mid-summer. Higher application rates and/or more frequent treatments may be required for acceptable spider mite control during mid to late-summer. The addition of a surfactant or horticultural oil may increase the effectiveness of Talstar. Talstar applications may be rotated with other products that have different modes of action in control programs that are designed to manage resistance by two-spotted spider mites.  Avid 0.15 Miticide is another product that can be used for spider mites.  Mix with water and apply as a foliar spray to obtain uniform coverage. For mites, apply when mites first appear and repeat as necessary to maintain control.  Consult your local Cooperative Extension Service for resistance management recommendations in your region.

    Can Bifen L/P be added to mulch?
    A

    This product can be applied to mulched areas, however, we would recommend pulling the mulch back and applying the Bifen Granules directly to the soil. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.

    Label says nothing about roaches. Does it work for the American Cockroach?

    We are not sure why this product does not have roaches on the label, but it is the same product as Talstar PL Granules, and roaches are listed on the Talstar granule product label.

    Would this product help me control chinch bugs or brown patch?
    A

    Scotts Edgeguard Mini Spreader- what setting do I use?

    We don't have the exact spreader setting for your model spreader. The easiest way to determine the correct setting for you needs is outlined below:

    If you need to use 3lbs of product per 1,000 sq ft you would add 3 lb of product to spreader, start with a medium setting, then apply product to a 20 x 50 ft area (1,000 sq ft).  If you have product left, your setting is too low.  If you run out of product, your setting is too high

    Is Bifen effective against ground pearl? In what form?
    A
    As far as we know there are no known insecticides that will work on Ground Pearl. Ground Pearl is a type of hearty armored scale, and other than natural enemies like ants, no true solution is available. The best solution to try is to reduce plant stress by following recommended fertility and irrigation recommendations to enable turfgrass tolerate the damage. You may also want to contact your local Cooperative Extension office to see if they have any recommendations.

    Do Bifen Granules kill the gnats that fly around your face?
    A
    First you want to make sure to eliminate as much moisture in the area as possible. Bifen Granules are not specifically labeled for gnats. This does not mean it will not kill them. We recommend using a liquid concentrate like Talstar P . Talstar can be applied to trees, shrubs, lawns, indoors and in areas containing moisture.

    Bifen was spread accidently at base of our avocado trees. What are long term effects?
    Can we consume the fruit from the avocado trees? Do we need to replace the mint it was also sprinkled on or leave as is?

    Can the Bifen Granules be used for black widows?
    A
    The Bifen Granules are not labeled for black widows or spider control in general and would not work for your needs. To control black widows or any other spider, you have to not only treat with the appropriate chemicals, like Cyper WP which comes in our Spider Control Kit, but also take the non-chemical steps of eliminating areas around the home that would be perfect living conditions for the spiders.     Lawn guy says I have some sort of centipede / millipede, that they'll go away by themselves, eventually. Will Bifen kill these things?
    I hear it's because of all the rain and heat we've had. Will Bifen kill these things? They're everywhere! Around the pool, in the pool, in the grass, down the driveway

    Bifen L/P Granules are easy to spread and will protect your lawn from millipedes and other pests for 2 to 3 months. Bifen IT is a great residual liquid formulation that is added to water and applied with a low-pressure sprayer can provide a powerful residual that continues working for 4 to 8 weeks following application. This residual liquid formulation can be sprayed along the outside perimeter of the home (especially under and around eaves, decks, patios, and window shutters), and inside along baseboards, in cracks and crevices, and other potential millipede harborages. You will know the residual is working because you will begin finding only dead millipedes rather than live ones. A lot of moisture are great thriving areas they prefer. Please find an article that you find helpful treating this insect in around your lawn.

    Will Bifen Granules change the grass color?
    After a recent application the grass began to turn brown. Is it possible the bifen affected this change?

    Bifen Granules does not have any effect on turf and would not cause any yellowing, browing, or discoloration.
