    Q
Is there any way to neutralize an area treated with Bayer Advanced Season Long Weed Control For Lawns Concentrate to reseed sooner than 60 days?
    A

The only way to plant sooner in an area that was treated with Bayer Advanced Season Long Weed Control For Lawns Concentrate would be to remove the soil it was applied to and apply new soil to the area.  Heavy raking will also disturb the weed preventative barrier and reduce the effectiveness of this product per the label.

  • Asked by Jg from Richmond, Va
    09/16/2016
    Q
Can I apply Bayer Advances Season Long Weed Control and then power seed in a week?
My yard is thick with weeds, the best thing to do would kill all the weeds and start over, but I am unable to do that this year. I am planning on applying Bayer Advanced Season Long Weed Control to knock back the weeds a bit then using a power seeder in a week or two to overseed. Will this product work for my application?
    A

Since Bayer Advanced Season Long Weed Control For Lawns Concentrate contains a pre-emergent it can inhibit seed germination of grass as well.  It states on the product label that bare spots may be reseeded 60 days after application so the same would apply for overseeding.  If you want to kill everything in the area and seed sooner a better option would be a non selective herbicide like RoundUp Quikpro and you can seed 2 weeks after application.

    Q
What do you recommend for mulched flower beds to eliminate wild violets, creeping Jenny, and clover?
    A

Gordons Ornamec would be a good choice for grassy weeds. This will eradicate grassy weeds but not clover or other broadleaf weeds. You may need to spot treat with a glyphosate product carefully like Killzall for the other weeds or manually remove them.
