    Q
I still struggle with the applications per year question on grapes with Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate
One place on the label it says: "Start and repeat at 10-14 day intervals." another spot says: "Make no more than 7 foliar applications per year." But there is also a reference to limiting applications to 2 per year!!
    A

Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate for grapes specifically is applied at a rate of no more than two quarts of spray per 100 square feet of grapevine and no more than two applications per year. You should not treat within 7 days of harvest with a minimum of 14 day retreatment interval.
If better clarification is needed please contact Bonide directly.

    Q
I sprayed Bonide Fruit Tree Spray on my cherry days ago but the fruit ripened faster than I thought.
Can the cherries be washed and consumed before the 14 days?
    A

The Bonide Fruit Tree Spray doesn't specify whether or not you can still harvest the fruit early and wait 14 days from the application still to consume them, so we couldn't state if that would be safe to do. You will want to contact the manufacturer directly for more information specific to your needs. You can reach Bonide at 315-736-8231.

    Q
Can Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate be used on Italian plum trees?
There is currently young fruit on the tree and it has a serious aphid infestation.
    A

The Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate is not labeled for use on plum trees so we could not recommend that application. The Bio Advanced Fruit, Citrus and Vegetable Insect Control is labeled for plums and a wider range of edibles and would be a great long term control choice for aphids. The use instructions will be on the product label of the bottle to determine how much to use per your tree size. For plums, the only restrictions during use are to not harvest fruit until at least 21 days after application and to not make more than one application per year. If you need to use a contact/foliar spray product while the Bio Advanced makes its way through the root zone and into the tree to protect it, you can apply a product like Fertilome Triple Action

    A

Bonide Fruit Tree Spray is a liquid fruit tree spray concentrate containing insecticide, fungicide, aphicide, miticide, scalicide, and spreadersticker all in one solution

    Q
Is Bonide Fruit Tree Spray and Fruit and Nut Orchard Spray the same product?
Fruit tree spray says to spray no more than 2X per season, the fruit and nut orchard spray says every 10 days. Im having difficulty finding the correct timing to spray my apple tree(Northeast) with the fruit and nut Orchard spray that I purchased.
    A

Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate is made up of captan, malathion and carbaryl which can help a large number of pests and disease but also limit the application of this product to twice a year. Bonide Citrus, Fruit and Nut Orchard Spray is different, it's made up of pyrethrins and sulfur which can help with a few pest and diseases but do not limit the number of application.

    Q
What is the best time for first spray of Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate?
I'd like to spray my semi dwarf apple trees to prevent apple maggots. One of my trees is just getting ready to bud out.
    A

According the manufacturer, this product has been EPA regulated to only use 2 times a year. The best time to apply to see best results is after the petal fall, then your 2nd application can be 3-4 weeks later. After you apply the Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate it will kill for up to 1 week. If insects or disease is still present, you can apply a 2nd time.
