    What do I set my Ortho Hose End Sprayer on for Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate for zoysia and bermuda grass?
    A

    The mixing ratio for Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate is 5.5 oz per gallon of water per 1000 square feet. When using a hose end sprayer, you will have to determine how much area you are treating. If you sprayers lowest setting is 3, this means you will be mixing whatever product you are using with 3 gallons of water. You will put in the correct amount of product in the reservoir per gallon of water.

    How much Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate do I need per acre?
    I've got a 5 acre field that is full of nut sedge, How much would I have to mix per acre to get good control of the nut sedge?
    A

    When using Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate it would depend on what type of grass is in the area that you are trying to treat. If you have a Cool Season Grass you would use 2.75 oz per gallon of water per 1000 sq ft. If you have a Warm Season Grass, you would use 5.5 oz per gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft. There are 43,500 sq ft in an acre, so the amount of product you would need to use could vary. It could be 121 oz for an acre that has cool season grass, and 242 oz for an acre that has warm season grass.

    How long should I wait to fertilize my Bermuda lawn after applying Sedge Ender? I use Milogranite as a fertilizer and live in MS.

    You can apply fertilizer at the same time as using Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate.

    If I use Sedge Ender in the middle of daylilies and irises, will I kill the flowers?
    Will I kill the flowers also

    Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate is only labeled to be used in lawns, not in landscaped areas or over desirable plants.  You can use a product like Sedgehammer in landscaped areas, but be sure not to spray the flowers or as an over the top product as it can injure them.

    You should wait at least 12 months before planting any edibles in an area that has been treated with Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate. If you are just planting ornamentals, you should wait at least 6 months.

    What post emergent do you recommend for sedge in my St. Augustine lawn?

    Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate will treat for sedges and crabgrass in St. Augustine Lawn. It is not labeled to be applied to Floratam St. Augustine Grass. You would use 4 oz per 1000 sq feet.  A second application would be made 30-60 days after initial application.

    Why do you say Bonide Sedge Ender is not labeled for Floratam St. Augustine grass?
    I checked the label and I can't find any mention for Floratam St. Augustine grass. That is a very popular cultivar of grass, particularly in Florida.

    Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate is not labeled for Floratam St. Augustine grass, because it could cause harm to it. The manufacturer does not list it as tolerant.

    We apologize but the Sedge Ender does not control quackgrass. We would be happy to recommend a product that does control quackgrass to you but we will need more information from you. We will need to know what kind of turf you have that you are trying to not kill, are you looking for a pre or post emergent, and are there any other weeds you are trying to eliminate?

    No. The overseeding time frame after using Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate will vary depending on the rate you used at the time of the application. The overseeding time frame is anywhere from 4-6 months. Please refer to Table 4 on page 10 of the product label.

    The amount of Bonide Sedge Ender that you will need for goosegrass will depend on the type of turf grass in the area that you will be treating.  You will use 2.75 oz. per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. when treating in cool-season grasses, or 5.5 oz. per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. for warm-season grasses.

    I have clover food plots for deer. Nutsedge is taking it over. Will your product kill the clover?

    Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate will kill clover and would not be recommended to use on a food plot if you are wanting to protect the clover. We have two products that protect clover in deer plots (Grass Out Max & Fusilade) but are not labeld for nutsedge. We recommend contacting your local Master Gardner for product recommendations specific to your needs.

    Overseeded my lawn about 4 to 5 weeks ago. Can I apply Bonide Sedge Ender to lawn without killing new grass?

    You should not apply Bonide Sedge Ender Concentrate to reseeded or overseeded areas within 3 to 6 months after application or it could inhibit the growth and establishment of desirable grasses. Please see the Product Label for exact intervals from application.
