APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Measure the total (entire) lawn area to be sprayed. For rectangular areas, multiply the length by the width to obtain total square feet.
  2. TO BEGIN spraying: Connect a garden hose to the hose-end sprayer. Make sure the control valve on the nozzle is in the OFF position. Turn on water at faucet. Point (Aim) nozzle toward lawn and turn the control valve to the ON position. Water will automatically mix with the product. Spray evenly over the measured area.
  3. SPRAY: Spray evenly over the measured area. Walk at a steady pace. This 16 fl. oz. container will treat 5,800 sq. ft. for cool season grasses, 2,900 sq. ft. for warm season grasses and 4,000 sq. ft. for St. Augustine grass.
  4. TO STOP spraying: Turn valve to OFF position. Turn off water at faucet. To relieve (discharge) pressure, turn control valve to ON position and wait until water stops spraying before removing sprayer from hose.

SPECIFIC USE INSTRUCTIONS IN TURFGRASS:

Established Turf:

This product may be used on seeded, sodded or sprigged turfgrasses that are well established. First application of this product can be made following the second mowing providing the grass has developed into a uniform stand with a good root system. Turf injury may result from application of this product on turf that is not well established or has been weakened by stresses such as unfavorable weather conditions, disease, chemical or mechanical influences.

When applied as directed under the conditions described, the following established grasses are tolerant to this product at the recommended use rate. Do not exceed 8.25 fl. oz./1,000 sq. ft. per calendar year.

Application to Reseeded, Overseeded or Sprigged Areas:

Reseeding, overseeding or sprigging of treated areas within three to six months after application of this product could inhibit the establishment of desirable grasses.

Best results are obtained for reseeding or overseeding when mechanical or power seeding equipment (slit seeders) are used to give good seed to soil contact and proper soil cultivation, irrigation and fertilization practices are followed.

(See label for complete list of diseases and application rates and instructions).

OTHER USE PRECAUTIONS:

  • Do not use on turfgrasses other than those listed on this label.
  • Do not graze or feed livestock, forage cut from areas treated with this product.
  • Do not apply directly to landscape ornamentals or ornamental beds.
  • Do not apply directly to areas where dichondra, colonial bentgrass, velvet bentgrass or annual bluegrass (Poa annua) are desirable species.
  • Do not apply to newly set sod until the sod has rooted and exposed edges have grown in.
  • Do not apply with adjuvants or surfactants.

Environmental Hazards:

This product is toxic to marine and estuarine invertebrates. Drift and runoff may be hazardous to terrestrial and aquatic plants in neighboring areas. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area. Rinsing application equipment over the treated area will help avoid run off to water bodies or drainage systems.

Groundwater advisory: Sulfentrazone is known to leach through soil into groundwater under certain conditions as a result of label use. Use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in groundwater contamination.

Do not use on coarse soils classified as sand which have less than 1% organic matter.

    Works great

    By Jimmy on 06/12/2020

I had sedge taking over my backyard. I have St Augustine and Bermuda grass. This stuff cleared out the sedge great. I may have to go back and do some spot treatments, but I think that's only because how much sedge I had going. I cleaned out 95% first go around.
