Can I apply Bora-Care to wood with mildew stains?

I won't have time this fall to do the full clean and protective stain, but I can fit in a round of Bora-Care. The wood siding however shows mildew, but does not repel any liquid. Would it be okay to use Bora-Care now, then wash and stain the siding next year? So it is at least protected from bugs?

Answer:

Bora-Care does not treat mold. You will want to remove stains first, then treat with Bora-Care with MoldCare application once dried then stain and seal exterior wood as directed for the best application for treating/preventing wood destroying insects and mold/mildew. We do offer Mold Clean that can be applied to remove stains with minimalizing or eliminating scrubbing and it penetrates deep into wood pores for thorough stain removal, which bleach cannot do.
