Can Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules be used to treat 5 acres of land that are overrun by armyworms? If so, what is the application rate?

Answer:

While the Bifen L/P Insecticide Granules is a great product for armyworms, you will not get a lot of coverage from it. However, the liquid version Bifen IT would be a great alternative for armyworm control and would also cover more area. For low or general maintenance applications, Bifen IT is applied at 0.18 - 0.25 fluid oz in 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq. ft (8 fl oz to 11 fl oz in 44 gallons of water per acre). For severe/higher populations or when grass is taller than 1 inch, apply Bifen IT at 1 fl oz in 1-2 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft (44 fl oz in 44 to 88 gallons of water per acre).  Please view the product label for more information.
