Can Bifen XTS be used to treat gypsy moths in the caterpillar stage using a backpack mister?

Answer:

Yes, Bifen XTS is labeled to control gypsy moth adults and caterpillars. Per the product label, be sure that you are also applying around the foundation of any structures as well as to the siding of the structure. For use on edible plants or more sensitive plants, a product with Bt such as Natural Guard Caterpillar Spray with Bt is a great choice.
