Bonide Grass Beater II Over - The - Top Grass Killer is not labeled to be used in lawns, only Flower beds, Ground covers, Vegetable gardens, and around Shrubs and trees.  For actively growing crabgrass, Blindside WDG is safe for warm season turfgrasses such as centipede, St. Augustine, bermudagrass, & zoysiagrass and applied at the rate of 0.15 to 0.23 oz per 1000 sq ft. For pre emergent applications (early spring/late fall), selective pre emergents containing the active ingredient Dithiopyr is known to provide superior results in stopping crabgrass germination when applied when soil temps are just below 55 degrees.  Please view our Crabgrass Treatment Guide and Warm Season Lawn Care Schedule Calendar for more information.
