Can CimeXa Insecticide Dust be applied before replacing carpet in my apartment where I believe bedbugs are hiding? Should an insecticide be used also?

I'm having a bedbug problem in my new apartment. I'm going to pull up the old flooring and carpets and replace with new laminate flooring. I think the bed bugs are living under the carpet. Can I spray cimexa or otherwise treat with insectiside after I pull up the old flooring and before I put down the new ones

Answer:

Once the old carpet has been removed, we would suggest treating with an insecticide like Temprid FX along the baseboards and also once the Temprid FX application has dried, applying Cimexa Dust to the wall voids using a bellow hand duster. Dusting in wall voids is an important part of any bed bug treatment program to treat further into the cracks and crevices where bed bugs hide and migrate from room to room. Dusting allows you to treat beyond where the Temprid FX can reach. Click HERE to view our How to Apply Cimexa Dust Video.  If mixing Cimexa with water for spray solution to treat the flooring before replacing the carpets, the application would need to be completely dried to where there is only a white powdered residue left behind.  For active bedbug infestations, repeat treatments of Temprid FX and CImexa Dust would be required every 7-10 days until you can go 30 days without seeing any signs of bed bugs or without getting bit.
