Can Hi - Yield Iron Sulfate be used in potted citrus trees grown indoors for the winter?

Answer:

Hi-Yield Iron Sulfate can be used only on outdoor trees, shrubs, and lawns to help prevent that yellow and faded-out look caused by an Iron deficiency. It is not labeled for use on indoor containerized plants.

Trees: Use 1/2 lb. for each 1 inch of trunk diameter - Spread out under branches and water in after application.
Lawns: Apply 4 lbs. per 1,000 square feet, using any hand or power-operated gravity or rotary type spreader - Water in after application.
Shrubs: Use 1 lb. for each 2 feet of height - Mix into the soil and water in after application.
NOTE: Applications should not be made when temperatures are above 85 degrees F as burning may occur. Do not apply to drought stressed lawns and plants. Water the day before application is to be made during dry periods.
CAUTION: This product may stain driveways, walks, patios, etc. Sweep off thoroughly, immediately after contact.
