Can I put a Nuvan strip in a box of vinyl records?

I have about 40 boxes of vinyl records. I have bedbugs. I was told to by the building manager to put 1 Nuvan Prostrip in each box and tape them up, then move them to the storage area tomorrow. After reading the instructions this doesn't sound safe in my apartment. I'm stressed and really low but I don't want to die. I don't know what to do. Thanks-irv

Answer:

Nuvan ProStrips can be used to safely treat vinyl records if you suspect that bedbugs have infested them.  You can place in a box and tape well so that no vapors escape or you can put the box in a large contractor trash bag and seal that well.  The other option is to just thoroughly inspect the records to see if there are in fact any bugs infesting and if so move those over to a trash bag, place a strip in there and seal it up.  You will need to leave sealed for at least 2 weeks to ensure death of any bugs.
