Can SedgeHammer Plus Herbicide be used to treat weeds in a mulch ring around oak trees without absorbing into the roots of the oak trees?

Answer:

SedgeHammer Herbicide should not be applied around groundcovers, ornamentals, vegetables, shrubs, trees, or flowers. It is to be applied to turf areas only. For treating weeds under the canopy of desriable trees, bushes, shrubs, etc – it is recommended to spot treat weeds with a non selective herbicide like Roundup QuickPro as this will not leach into the soil or to nearby root systems.
