Can STUF-FIT Copper Mesh be applied between trees to protect squirrels?

I googled how to protect squirrels from hawks. I had some trees removed from my property and now I have two hawks that are leaving scars on all the squirrels I've been feeding. I'm just looking for a way to protect the squirrels that I feared from these hawks.

Answer:

STUF-FIT Copper Mesh is intended to be stuffed into small holes, and then it is usually sealed with a hard filler such as expansion foam.  It is not recommended for use spread between trees or in open areas. We would recommend contacting a local Wildlife Expert for information on how to protect squirrels.
