Can the Nuvan Strips be placed in a bag and sealed and the bag remain in the living area?

We have several contractor bags filled with books that will be sealed and left for 1 week. Is it safe to keep these bags in our living area? We don't have anywhere else to put them and they can't be moved as they are already full.
