Gary from Kapolei, Hi writes

Can Trimec Southern be used for spraying the few weeds that popped up on a newly planted small lawn (less than 2000 sq.ft.)?

How much per gallon in a tank sprayer?

Answer:

For broadleaf control, you would mx 0.75 oz Trimec Southern per 1,000 sq. ft. or approx. 1 gallon of water.  You would want to mix approx. 1.5 oz with 2 gallons of water to cover a 2,000 sq ft lawn.  You should not apply to newly seeded turf until after the second or third mowing.
