Can vegetables or herbs be planted in a bed after applying Bonide Weed Beater Ultra to kill weeds that have overrun the bed? If so, how long do I need to wait before planting the garlic?

Answer:

Since Bonide Weed Beater Ultra is only labeled for warm and cool season turfgrasses and not labeled for use around edibles, you would need to wait 1 full growing season before planting in the same area. To kill actively growing weeds where you want to plant the garlic, we would recommend using a non selective such as Roundup QuickPro and then you are able to plant edibles after 2 weeks.  For turfgrasses, the wait time is 2 weeks to reseed or resod in those areas.
