Can you explain how to apply Dominion 2L in a trench?

I read your article "How To Do A Termite Treatment" and got confused because I was under the impression that if I have a 30 ft long side of the house, I'd need to trench 4 6x6 holes (2 in the corners and 2 in between so that they're 10 linear feet from each other) and applying a total of 40 gallons of mixed Dominion 2L solution (10 gallons per hole). You suggested trenching only 1 hole and filling it with 30 gallons of solution. As I can imagine, doing it "my way" will provide with no-gap treatment along the side of the house without going deep; whereas "your way" will go deep (3 ft in depth since 10 gallons need to be applied per 1 foot of depth per product label) but not wide. Could you please clarify the issue with the holes and the depth? Thank you in advance!!!

Answer:

You will need to dig one long continuous trench that is 6 inches wide by 6 inches deep right up against the foundation of your home. You will then mark the trench off in 10 ft segments. For every 10 feet of trench you will then apply 4 gallons of diluted Dominion 2L. This is how all professional companies apply the product and this is how the product label specifies applying the product. (Please read the last paragraph on page 4 of the Dominion product label)
