    Does Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate kill chinch bugs?
    How do I know for sure if I have chinch bugs?
    A

    Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled for chinch bugs. Chinch bugs suck the moisture out of grass blades, then replace that moisture with a poison that kills the grass. Lawns that have been affected by chinch bugs appear to have drought-like symptoms, including yellow, brown, or dead grass.  You may want to take a look at our Chinch Bug Guide for more information.

    Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled for apple maggots.  Bonide Fruit Tree Spray Concentrate is labeled for it.

    Can CaptainJ acks be mixed and used with Copper Fungicide?
    A

    Since Copper Fungicide is an anti bacterial active ingredient, it could offset the Spinosad in Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate. It is not recommended to tank mix these two products together.  Instead you could rotate between after 2-3 applications of one.

    Can Captain Jack's Deadbug Flower & Vegetable Garden Dust be used on ivy indoor plants?
    They have little tiny black fly looking bugs on them when I bring them from outside in the winter time.

    Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Flower and Vegetable Garden Dust  is used for outdoor applications for the listed insects on the label. It should not hurt the plant and should be treated prior to bringing indoors. We will need to be sure the insect that you are targeting to confirm if this will be the best treatment option for this situation.

    Will Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate kill russett mites or broad mites?

    Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled for any type of mites on lawns.  You should use Bifen IT with a surfactant such as DyneAmic to control mites in the lawn. The product label also recommends irrigating the lawn with .25 inch of water after the application for lawn infesting insects.

    Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is rainfast after 6 hours. This product can be reapplied every 7-10 days as needed.

    Will Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate stuff kill my squash bugs?
    They are stalk borers and will destroy zucchini or summer squash. I have used Malathion but I happen to be out at the moment. How about "Deadbug" on these big beetles?

    Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled for squash bugs and the active does not appear to be effective against them.  Bonide Eight Insect Control Vegetable, Fruit and Flower would be a better option for them and beetles.
