    Q
Can I use Casoron 4G Herbicide on my raspberry plants after I have weeded them?
Just wondering if I will still get new raspberry sprouts after I used Casoron to control weeds in my raspberries.
    A

You can use Casoron 4G Herbicide granules around estblished raspberry plants. Per the product label, "For control of annual weeds...Use only on established plantings and do not apply more than 100 pounds per acre. Do not apply during new shoot emergence. Thoroughly incorporate granules into the surface through watering-in." So you would apply either before or after new shoot emergence of your raspberry plants.

    Q
Will Casoron 4G Herbicide be effective if it spread over a ground cover of medium bark?
Mulch was used to keep weeds from spreading or does it need to be directly on soil to work?
    A

Casoron 4G Herbicide is best applied directly to soil and then watered in to create the barrier needed to prevent weeds from emerging.  To help get the Casoron granules to the soil in mulched you must heavily irrigate the area after the application. Casoron is a mild soil sterilant, so it is very important not to put it in areas where it will contact desirable plants or in areas where you will soon want to grow new plants.

    Q
Our church has a gravel parking lot in AZ. What pre emergent can we use to prevent tumbleweeds from coming?
    A
Casoron Herbicide will be a good choice to control Russian thistle (aka tumbleweed). Treating gravel lots can be tough because it is hard to contact the soil and the soil is usually very dry. To help get the Casoron granules to the soil you must heavily irrigate the area after the application. Casoron is a mild soil sterilant, so it is very important not to put it in areas where it will contact desirable plants or in areas where you will soon want to grow new plants.

    Q
Can I get something like Casoron that "salts" the soil so nothing grows for a year or two?
    A

Unfortunately we do not have a product that will control for up to 2 years, but we do carry Eraser Max Super Concentrate Herbicide that will prevent regrowth for up to a year. It will kill any weeds that are actively there since it is a non-selective post, but also prevent regrowth of weeds just like Casoron 4G Herbicide

    Q
Will Casoron 4G Herbicide kill ivy
I have large flower beds that get grass in spots. The main plant in them is ivy, growing on the ground. Will Casoron kill the ivy?
    A

Casoron 4G Herbicide does not kill anything actively growing as it is a pre-emergent only.  It does not list that it will prevent any type of ivy as it states ivy as tolerable on the label so safe to use over.
