We would advise waiting till Casoron 4G Herbicide has completely dried before letting pets back in the area typically after 4-6 hours. The product is also not labeled to be used around lake, ponds, or rivers. We would recommend staying 25 ft away from any bodies of water and do not water in to the point of runoff.
Casaron 4G Herbicide shouldn't kill established grass. However, we would recommend you using it in a small test area first just to be sure before using it as an entire broadcast over your enitire lawn. The rate at which you apply Casoron 4G will be dependent on the weeds you are targeting and in what type of areas and around what type of plants you will be treating. You will need to look over the Casoron Product Label to find the rates specific to your needs which can range between 100-200 lbs of Casoron per acre.

We would not recommend Casoron 4G for raised beds or flower/ornamental areas as many species have not been tested over and it could cause damage to the plants. A better option would be Snapshot for a granule to put down in beds as long as they are not vegetables. Snapshot TG is ideal for ornamental and flower bed areas to prevent a wide range of grassy and broadleaf weeds from emerging. Normally you will want an application of this to the top of the soil though as if you only treat deep in the ground you will not have a barrier on the surface where your first weeds would start to grow and appear. Since a pre emergent is designed to create a wall like barrier in the soil, it needs to be applied after all soil and plants have been put into place as disturbing the soil after application will remove the barrier.
Casoron 4G Herbicide is not labeled to be used around bulb plantings, so we would not recommend this application. Gallery 75 DF can be used around ornamental bulb plantings 2-4 weeks after planting but prior to emergence of annual weeds. Per the product label: Gallery also may be applied following bulb emergence but prior to flowering and after flowering. For fall planted bulbs, apply Gallery 75 DF in late winter or early spring to weed-free soil surfaces. For bulbs, make a single applcation wtithin 30 days following planting and prior to bulb emergence.
