CB-80 is not labeld to be used on clothing. It is important to note that CB-80 does not offer residual control, so bedbugs need to be sprayed directly for best results. We would recommend washing your clothing and putting them in the dryer on high heat for one hour, as this will kill any live bed bugs. We would also recommend that you put the suitcase in a sealed bag with a Nuvan Pro Strip. The bag would need to stay sealed for 3 -4 weeks for best results.
CB-80 Insecticide may be harmful to starlings or other birds. We cannot recommend to use this product in any way other than those uses on the product label. We would encourage you to remove a nest that may be bothering you and then seal up the access points so that other birds do not return to the area. You can view our Bird Control Page for more product information about bird control.
CB-80 actually is not labeled for bees. If you want to use an aerosol product for bees that will provide a quick knockdown, we would recommend using Wasp X or Wasp Freeze instead, applied in the morning or in the evening, when bees are least active.
CB-80 Aerosol does not leave a residual, it is used for flush out and/or contact kill. If you are looking for an insecticide aerosol to spray on baseboards, cracks and crevices that will leave a residual, you can use Cy-Kick Aerosol instead.
CB-80 Aerosol is a pyrethrin based aerosol that will act as a flushing agent. The best way to get rid of an Indian Meal Moth infestation is to clean out all of your cabinets and discard any infested items. Seal all goods that could potentially become infested in air tight plastic containers. While all items are out of the cabinets you should perform a deep clean. Vacuum and scrub all shelves, paying special attention to cracks and crevices where insects may harbor. Using a spray product in the cracks and crevices will help eliminate the moth larva that has crawled away from the food products to pupate.
Per the CB-80 Aerosol manufacturers label: FOR INDIANMEAL MOTHS AND ANGOUMOIS GRAIN MOTHS: Close doors and windows. Direct spray CB-80 into all parts of room especially around stored food product containers, pallets and darkened areas. Spray 7 to 10 seconds for each 1,000 cubic feet of space. Keep area closed for 15 minutes following treatment. Repeat application weekly or as needed.
CB-80 Aerosol does list small flying moths as a target insect. The product label states that when treating inside of closets, to remove all clothing and other articles before applying the product. You can use this to flush out cracks and crevices to try to control larvae there. Keep in mind that this is a contact kill aerosol only, though, so it does not have any residual once the spray has dried. You can also read our article on How to Get Rid of Clothes Moths, for more treatment information by clicking here.
CB-80 Aerosol should not stain any surface its applied to, however we nor the manufacturer can test for all surface applications. We would recommend testing in a small inconspicuous area first before treating in a wider area where you have the pests emerging. Unless you are spot treating only behind the siding, we would recommend using a concentrated product you mix with water and spray in that area instead since aerosols are not going to hold up to the outdoor elements as well and are used more for spot treatments to flush insects out as a contact kill. Cyzmic CS would be a great option for residual insect control outdoors.
While CB-80 Aerosol is a great contact/flushing insecticide for a contact kill of roaches, Insecticide aerosols are really meant for indoor crack and crevice applications along baseboards, around windows, doors, under sinks, cabinets, etc. They typicallly will not reach further than a couple feet.
