We recommend also to make sure there is an adequate amount of water being applied to your turf as sometimes lack of water can cause sticker bur. • Asked by Chris from Punta Gorda, Fl 33982
    12/20/2019
    Q
most effective on south florida weeds celsius wg or atrazine
    A

Which herbicide is best for your needs will depend on several factors, including the type of turfgrass you have (Atrazine is for use only on Centipede and St. Augustine), the specific weeds you are targeting, and how large of an area you are treating. If you would like to provide some more details, then we are happy to make a product recommendation for you. Keep in mind that you do not want to apply post-emergent herbicides if your warm-season turfgrass is under stress from cold.

  • Asked by Jeff from Jacksonville
    04/05/2015
    Q
Why is celsius no longer available?
Celsius was a great product, why doesnt DMOPC carry it any longer?
    A
We agree, Celsius is a fantastic product and it is unfortunate we no longer have it as part of our inventory. However due to a contract we have with the manufacturer there were recently some turf products we carried that are no longer a part of our contract and we cannot get. We apologize for the inconvenience and you should be able to find the product on other sites similar to ours online.

  • Asked by Zackery from Fairburn
    06/06/2016
    Q
How early in the year can I use Celsius WG Herbicide?
When do I need to stop using it?
    A

The best time to use Celsius WG Herbicide or any other herbicide will depend on where you are treating and the specific type(s) of weeds you need to treat. Most post-emergent herbicides will be most effective when the target weeds are young actively growing. If you need help with identification or determining the best time to apply, you can call your local cooperative extension office and ask to speak to the master gardener on staff and he/she should be able to help you.

  • Asked by Amy from Baton Rouge, Louisiana
    08/26/2012
    Q
    application device for small lawn?
Product label recommends applying with a boom sprayer. I have a small residential lawn ( approx 9400 sf) with flowerbeds and a Koi pond. What do you suggest I use to apply?
    A
Small lawns can be treated as directed under the "Spot Treatment applications" section. For spot applications you can apply the dilution using a hand pump sprayer and add the specified product rate of 0.057-0.113 oz (1.6-3.2g) to enough water to create approximately 1 gallon spray solution. One gallon of spray solution will treat up to 1,000 sq ft. For maximum weed control with broadcast applications, add non-ionic surfactant.
