    Will Celsius wg kill bermuda grass in my zoysia lawn? Or can you re commend a product that will?

    No, Celsius WG Herbicide will not remove bermuda grass from your zoysia grass. We would recommend spot treating the bermuda grass with a glyphosate product such as Roundup QuickPRO and then reseed two weeks later with Zoysia seed.

    Can Certainty or Celsius be used effectively to eradicate the pesky dallisgrass in my yard?
    A

    Celsius WG Herbicide in combination with Revolver Herbicide (2 fl oz per gallon) and methylated seed oil at 1% applied as a spot treatment in late summer or early fall will suppress and/or control dallisgrass. Applications made sooner may not be effective. Certainty Herbicide - 1.25 oz. bottle will suppress Dallis grass. Per the product label: For suppression of Dallis grass in Bermuda apply this product at a rate of 1.25 oz per acre in a tank mix with 2lbs MSMA per acre and .25 oz Non Ionic Surfactant. Re apply same tank mix 2-4 weeks after initial application. Barricade 65WG would be an excellent pre-emergent product choice to treat dallisgrass (Paspalum). Please be sure to confirm the application rates and safety for your desired turf species on each product label prior to application.

    I mistead the mixing rates on Celsius WG herbicide and use way too much in my St Augustine lawn. Will it kill the grass? And is there anything I should do at this point. Sprayed a few days ago

    The only thing you can do for your lawn after applying to much Celcius WG Herbicide, is to water your lawn for an hour 3 times per week for this first week, and then for an hour 2 times per week for the next couple of weeks.     Will Celsius WG kill Dallisgrass without harming my Bermuda?

    Yes, Celsius WG Herbicide is labeled to control Dallisgrass and it can safely be applied to Bermuda turf.

    After applying Celsius, how long does it take to kill sandbur?
    A

    Weed growth ceases within hours after application of Celsius WG Herbicide. Symptoms progress from yellowing to necrosis resulting in plant death within 1-4 weeks after application. The speed of symptom development varies with temperature and will be faster at warmer temperatures. For best results to control mature weeds, apply when the daily average temperature is above 60

    Why does my bottle of Celsius have a two year old manufacture date?
    I purchased this expensive bottle from your site and shortly after I noticed the manufacturing date was two years prior. In another answer you say the shelf life is three years. Will you be considerate and make good?

    We apologize for any confusion. We do recommend that customers use their product within 3 years of the date of purchase because it can take a while from the date of manufacture for the product to be sold. The manufacturer warranties their product for 5 years from the date of manufacture. You can confirm this with the manufacturer. You can reach Bayer by calling 800-331-2867.     I am looking to buy Celsius WG Herbicide and see it comes in a 10 oz. size and the cost is over $100.00. I am trying to see how much is used in one gallon of water.

    For spot treatments applying Celsius WG Herbicide, you can add the specified product rate of 0.057-0.113 oz (1.6-3.2g) to enough water to create approximately 1 gallon spray solution. One gallon of spray solution will treat up to 1,000 sq ft. Please refer to the product label for specific application instructions.

    If I just put st Augustine grass down how long should I wait before applying Celsius?
    I applied a small rate of Celsius to grass we laid four months ago and it appears to be killing the grass.

    The label does not specify how long to wait to apply Celsius to newly planted St. Augustine like it does for Bermudagrass and Zoysia Grass. We recommend contacting the local Master Gardner in your county here. There are a couple different factors that could be causing the grass do die and since they are in your county, they can be of great help.

    I mowed and used Celsius WG to kills weeds; how long do I need to wait to lay down seed?
    The yard has grass and is being over run with weeds. I'm Just trying to get a better looking yard for the kids to play in.

    The seeding interval will vary depening on what type of turf you have. You should review the product label for specific directions for your turf. For example:

    "Seeded Bermudagrass: This product may be applied to Bermudagrass up to 90 days prior to seeding without a significant reduction in Bermudagrass stand."

    "Seeded Zoysiagrass: This product may be applied to zoysiagrass up to 90 days prior to seeding without a significant reduction in zoysiagrass stand."

    Can you use Celsius WG Herbicide over Kentucky or Marion Blue Grass? I used it at my home in Florida with St. Augustine sod with great results.

    Will Celsius WG Herbicide kill poa annua in my Zoysiagrass?

    Celsius WG Herbicide is not labeled for eradication of Poa Annua. The best way to treat for Poa Annua is by using a pre emergent like Bensumec 4LF. This way you will prevent it from germinating. Bensumec can safely be applied to Zoysiagrass.

    When am I safe to spray sprigging Bermuda with Celsius WG?
    I spriged my yard a week ago. The weeds are coming up faster than the grass.

    The product label for Celsius WG Herbicide states: This product may be applied to sprigged Bermudagrass no sooner than 2 weeks after sprigging bermuda without a significant reduction in quality.

    Dimension 2EW is our most popular pre-emergent product for use on St Augustine grass. We do recommend that you check out the product label and make sure the weeds you are trying to prevent are listed, as herbicides can be pretty specific as to what they will or will not work on.

    Do I need a piston or diaphragm sprayer to apply Celsius WG Herbicide?
    A

    Celsius WG Herbicide can be applied with a pump sprayer or backpack sprayer or with larger equipment as long as you can properly dilute the concentrate and agitate the mixture during application as needed. Per the product label: Select spray nozzles and pressure that deliver at least MEDIUM spray droplets as indicated in nozzle manufacturer's catalogs and in accordance with ASAE Standard S-572. Nozzles that deliver coarse spray droplets may be used to reduce spray drift provided spray volume per acre (GPA) is increased to maintain coverage of weeds. You can view complete mixing and application instructions on page 3 of the label.
