The label states that you will have to wait 90 days before overseeding after treating with Celsius WG Herbicide. If you have already overseeding, wait until 4 weeks after seeding or after your second mowing to apply to newly sprigged grass.
It is recommended to wait 90 days to overseed after applying Celsius WG Herbicide.
If the new St Augustine lawn has started to become established or been mowed at least once you can carefully spot treat with the Celsius WG on the newly laid sod. Anytime herbicides are used its best to wait 4-6 weeks or until the grass has been mowed 1-2 times.
We would recommend storing Celsius WG Herbicide in it’s original container if possible as we do not have any information on transferring the product and the effectiveness and shelf life in another container. For more information, Bayer can be reached directly at 1-800-331-2867.
If you are treating 3 acres, that is a total of 130,680 sq feet. If applying at the high rate of 0.113 oz per 1,000 sq ft, you would use a total 14.75 oz of Celsius WG Herbicide.
Per the product label for Dallisgrass Control: This product in combination with REVOLVER® Herbicide (2 fl oz per gallon) and MSO at 1% v/v applied as a spot treatment in late summer or early fall will suppress and/or control dallisgrass. Applications made sooner may not be effective. Add the specified product rate of 0.085 - 0.113 oz (2.4 - 3.2 g) to enough water to create approximately one gallon of spray solution. One gallon of spray solution will treat up to 1,000 sq ft. Make a second application if regrowth is observed 30-60 days later, but do not exceed 0.17 oz (4.8 g) of product per 1,000 sq. ft. in a calendar year
Celsius WG Herbicide can be applied to established St. Augustine turfgrass as directed but it should NOT be applied to or near fruit trees. You should avoid applications within 15 ft of edible vegetation and outside the dripline of fruit trees.
Unfortunately, Celcius WG Herbicide should NOT be used on Bahiagrass or any other cool season turf grasses so we would not be able to recommend a reseeding time frame.
Unfortunately, most post emergent herbicides that target grassy weeds are not safe for use on bahia and would need to be spot treated directly with a non selective glyphosate product like Roundup QuickPRO. Any bare spots can be reseeded after 2 weeks.
For broadleaf weed control in bahiagrass, Ferti-lome Weed Free Zone would target many common broadleaf weeds and safe for bahiagrass.
View the Weed Free Zone product label for more information.
Celsius Herbicide is not labeled to kill nutsedge. Sedgehammer would be a better option to use.
Celsius WG Herbicide is a selective post-emergent herbicide that is safe if used as directed to established centipede turf for targeting listed weeds including green foxtail and giant foxtail at 1.6 gm/1,000 sq ft and yellow foxtail at 2.4 gm/1,000 sq ft.n
For the control of Johnsongrass, Celsius WG Herbicide recommends applying at the rate of .057 oz per 1k square feet. In order to determine how much water to use, you will need to calibrate your sprayer. Here is a video to assist with that
Per the product label: For broadcast applications, use a minimum of 10 gallons of water per acre. For weed control in dense weed populations, control of weeds under adverse growing conditions, or control of mature weeds, the optimum spray volume is 60 gallons per acre.
Celsius is only labeled to be used on Warm-Season Turf Types Only in Commercial and Residential Sites, it is not labeled to be used in any type of hay field or pasture where animals graze.

If weeds are showing signs of recovery, make a second application 2-4 weeks after the first, Typically after yellow, this will result in control of weeds within 1-4 weeks after application. Do not exceed 7.4 oz (210 g) of product per acre per year (365 days)
Celsius is applied at three different rates depending on the weeds to be controlled. For the appropriate rate, consult the USE RATES FOR WEED CONTROL section on the Celsius product label.
Celsius WG Herbicide is not labeled for matchweed.
