    Chapin Tow Behind Speader

    Loved the product well built and one of the better spreaders I've bought in years past. The fact this spreader has brass bushings verses plastic is a plus and grease fittings for long lasting performance. I recommend this product to others.

    Do not use for fertilizer.

    This spreader is only ok for seed, if there is a lot of dust in the seed or spreading over dirt gears WILL Seize up

    The gear box is junk!

    The spreader is great when working. Read the reviews on Chapin's own website about the gearbox, it is terrible and will seize up after the 1 year warranty. At least domyown does carry this part for 72 dollars with shipping, I know I bought another its my second one so if you buy this spreader order a couple of extra gearboxes you will need them.
