Crape Myrtle Black Scale

Hi! I need help in finding something that can eradicate the black scale that is currently attacking my crape myrtle. I also have problems with all my other plants in the back yard, ie. black berry (after receiving the first crop this summer it's now dying), Japanese Maple (branches from one side of the tree is dying). I would appreciate any help that you could offer.

Answer:

For the black scale on crape myrtles, you may try using a product to drench such as Safari 20SG Systemic Insecticide with Dinotefuran. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions. You may also spray with a product such as Monterey Horticultural Oil. You may view the product label here.

To clarify, as for the other plants that you mentioned, are they also experiencing issues with scales as well, or are they experiencing some other type of issue? Please respond with some more information so that we may further assist you.
