    Q
What is the reason that you cannot use Crossfire in ULV foggers?
Will the preparation be ineffective? Or, on the contrary, will it be dangerous for the applicant? Most biocidal pesticides are suitable for ULV foggers. The composition includes pesticides used by professional companies for ULV foggers.
    A

Unfortunately there is no way for us to know why manufacturers do not test products such as Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate to be fogged. Any time that you go off label, it will not give you the same results as if you've used it per the label. Keep in mind that manufacturers spend a lot of time & money to come up with rates/usage to give you the best perfomance from a product. Going against that will give you potential ineffective results

    Q
Can I use Crossfire after using CimeXa?
If I used Crossfire and then after it dried put down CimeXa in the cracks and baseboards, can I retreat 14 days later with Crossfire? Wouldn't that ruin all of the CimeXa when it wets the product? Since CimeXa can last up to 10 years, I would hate to waste product or have to redo.
    A

Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate can be applied and dried to listed areas on the label including baseboards prior to applications of Cimexa if dispersing underneath baseboards/carpet edges, etc. Here is a great article (including videos) with additional information on a successful program.

If Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate was diluted incorrectly, we recommend calling SafetyCall at 888-740-8712. We suggest having the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) on hand for easier reference of information.

    Q
Can Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate be used on bed pillows?
    A

Pillows should not be sprayed with Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate. Instead, they can usually be washed and dried. The heat from the drier would kill any bedbugs. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions before use of this product.

  • Asked by Chi
    07/10/2022
    Q
If the residual effects of Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate lasts for 30 days, then why should we reapply every 7 to 14 days?
Sprayed with crossfire and seemed to be free for 3 weeks. Then I began to see signs and get bites again. Sprayed a second time 30 days ago but it seemed to have no effect. Sprayed for a third time a few days ago. If the residual is supposed to last for a full 30 days then why do we need to reapply so often?
    A

Per the manufacturer, Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate should be applied every 30 days for preventative treatments.

For active bed bug infestations, it is necessary to retreat every 7-10 days with Crossfire along with an insecticide dust such as Cimexa Dust to reach further back into cracks and crevices where bed bugs hide. This process needs to be reapplied every 7-10 days until you go 30 full days without seeing any signs of beds.

After the application of Crossfire has dried, dust along baseboards, in corners, around window/door trims, undersides of boxsprings, between the mattress and box springs, inside hollow furniture legs, etc.

Please view our Bed Bug Treatment Guide for more information on a full treatment program

    Q
Will the residual from Crossfire last for a month on a metal frame?
    A

If treating for active bed bugs, Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate should be reapplied every 7-10 days until you can go a full 30 days without seeing any signs of bed bugs. This product should not be used alone to treat for active bed bugs and best used along with Cimexa Dust to dust the cracks and crevices along baseboards, around window/door trim, between mattresses and boxsprings, behind picture frames, etc.

For preventative applications, Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate will provide up to a 30 day residual. View the full product label for more information.

I got crossfire bed bug spray but I have a cat and I have a lot of clothing and a lot of furniture so what must I do to prep the apartment for bed bug spray should I leave the clothing out and spray everything and put my cat in a cat carrier and put it in the kitchen the room that's not infested by bed bugs

    Q
How do I dispose of unused Crossfire mix?
We mixed a gallon of it, but after spraying where we needed to we ended up with a little under a quarter of it left and it's been over 24 hours since we mixed it, so it needs to go. But the label only offers disposal instructions for the BOTTLE, not for unused product.
    A
For disposal of product such as Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate, we generally recommend pouring it out on bare ground if applicable. Otherwise, you can also contact your local waste management. They usually have locations for disposal/drop offs of chemicals.

  • Asked by Lady2bugs from Sc

    Q
Can this be sprayed directly on a mattress, carpet or couch?
I've seen conflicting statements about where Crossfire can be applied. Some responses say crack and crevice only, and other statements say you can spray it “directly on” furniture where you sit or on top of a mattress. I'd like to use it on places where someone sits, lays, etc. Not just in the cracks and crevices.
    A
Yes, Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate can be directly applied to mattress and box spring surfaces per the product label.  Do not oversaturate mattresses, carpets or furnishings, apply until thoroughly damp but not wet. Infested bed linens should not be treated. These should be removed, tightly sealed in a plastic bag, laundered and dried at high temperatures prior to reuse

    Q
Is Crossfire concentrate still good if it freezes?
I'm in Wisconsin and it's cold. Frozen entire large bottle of it. Is it still any good after it's thawed out and then mixed?
    A

For best results, we recommend storing Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate in a cool, dry place. If it freezes, this may reduce the efficacy.

  • Asked by Mrs from London, Uk

    Q
I sprayed fresh lemon juice into some cracks, will this reduce Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate efficacy if sprayed in same place?
    A

We would recommend spraying some water in the cracks to “flush” any remaining lemon juice out of the cracks and crevices first, and then you can spray the Crossfire. It should not affect the Crossfire application.

    Q
Can Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate be sprayed over areas where Diatomaceous Earth has been applied under kitchen units?
    A

We would not recommend spraying Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate on top of areas where DE or any insecticide dust has been applied. You will want to spray insecticide (Crossfire) first, let the applicaiton dry and then come back and apply DE or an insecticide dust.

  • Asked by Amy from Gastonia

    Q
Will mopping solution affect the application of Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate?
Treated 24 hrs ago with Crossfire and would like to mop my flooring. Can I use Mr. Clean Antibacterial to mop my floors without deactivating any of the residual of Crossfire?
    A

Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate should not be applied as a broadcast spray application onto floors, but should be applied to cracks and crevices and around perimeters of rooms for bed bug treatments.  Furthermore, you would not want to mop the treated area, as you will remove the residual effect of the active ingredient, taking away the effect of the application.  Please refer to the manufacturer's product label for complete application instructions, and use only as directed.

Bed Bugs will require a combination of products to treat the cracks and crevices where bed bugs hide along with repeat applications every 7 days until you can go 30 days without seeing any signs of bed bugs.

Please view our Bed Bug Kits and Bed Bug Treatment Guide for more important information on eliminating bed bugs.
