    Q
Can I get one pesticide that is the best for outdoor and indoor use? Or should I get one for each?
I was thinking Cy-Kick CS for outdoor use. I have two cats and will soon have children so I wanted something safe for indoor as well. Would Cy-Kick CS be the best for both uses? Also if I get two would I need to get two sprayers so they do not mix? As a side note, is Cy-Kick CS the best one for general stopping invading insects? I think we mostly see spiders as of now.

    Q
What do you recommend for a general protection, perimeter house spray for a home in Texas?
    A
Cy kick CS is one of our most popular products for your region. It has 90 days of full-throttle killing power, controlling insects indoors and outdoors. With a broad spectrum label. So it will do a great job standing up to UV rays.

    Q
    Application Rate
I've asked a prior question regarding usage rates of CyKick CS. I'm always trying to find a way to eliminate the need for a professional control service. However, I looked at my invoice the other day and realized the technician sprayed almost 15 gallons around my 2000SF home! Keep in mind, this was simply my bi-monthly treatment for Scorpions - no infestation or anything. He uses a "power sprayer" and I'm sure lots of water in his mixture, but how could I duplicate 15 gallons? Does that seem excessive? So as you can tell, it's things like that that make us (the consumer) reluctant to DIY...
    A
For scorpion control, you are always going to use much more product than you would for general pest control. For general insects like ants, spiders and roaches you would only spray 2 feet up and 2 feet out just around the foundation of the home. For scorpions you need a much wider barrier for them to cross to have the product pass through their tough exoskeleton. It normally takes spraying 6-10 feet out on the ground around the home, plus any other landscape harborage areas to control them effectively. Depending on the outdoor elements in your area will depend on whether you will need to treat monthly or every 2-3 months. The Cy-Kick CS is a great option for scorpion control but you will use a fair amount of it to treat and keep your property free of pests. You normally mix it at the rate of 1-2 ounces per gallon of water, and each gallon you mix up will cover roughly 1000 sq/ft, depending on how heavy you wet the surface area.

    Q
I have been spraying CY-KICK (CS) monthly inside/outside my house since March.
It has been successful in eliminating scorpions. We (in Arizona) are now in the Monsoon Season (rainy). My question is: does the rain affect the performance of the product or shall I continue using it as usual? Thank you.
    A
Cy-Kick CS is a great general pest control for monthly outdoor control of scorpions and other common household insects. If applied on a dry day, it will hold up in the rain for 4 weeks.

    Q
Will Cy Kick CS help with cock roach infestation?
We recently moved in to a new home, and I never noticed how bad of a infestation there was. At night when we turn on the lights and they are every where. It's disgusting! We clean, but they still come out. Will this product be effective at eliminating them and preventing another outbreak? What will I need to spray inside and outside the house?
    A

Yes, Cy-Kick CS is labeled for roaches. We would also recommend using an IGR (insect growth regulator). This will stop the roaches from reproducing. You will use between 0.5 to 1.0 fl. oz. per gallon of water. Gentrol IGR can be mixed in the same sprayer as the Cy-Kick CS. You will mix 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This will work for up to 4 months.

For longer prevention, we would recommend using Delta Dust inside the wall voids. You will do a couple of puffs per electrical outlet and light switch. This is waterproof and will last in the wall voids for up to 7 months. Make sure you are not using too much because the roaches will need to walk over it. This dries them out inside the wall voids.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
I have had a professional company treating my house for carpet beetles for six months with CY-Kick CS.
We are treating all baseboards throughout the house, every two months. At present, there few larvae, but there are still numerous flying beetles, and most seem to be coming from a 20 x 20 ft room with "Vermont board siding", which has verticle spaces everywhere (every 4 to 6 inches). Is the baseboard Cy-Kick CS treatment sufficient or should I change the course. There is lots of vacuuming (discarding bags after use) of the entire house, all clothing in the house is in plastic bags and there are no issues with food. Any ideas or any source for detailed information on how to deal with a house wide issue with carpet beetles?
    A
It is very important that the source of the infestation (where the damaging larva is harboring) is discovered and eliminated, not just the visible insects you see wandering around. Until you find out what that is and deal with it you will continue to get more of the carpet beetles emerging from hiding. Carpet beetles may be as likely to feed on grain based food materials as they are on animal byproducts. Pet foods stored in forgotten places, baking goods left too long in the cupboard, rodent baits tossed in the attic - all of these are quite susceptible to carpet beetle feeding. Plus, you also have the typical carpet beetle diets of dead insects (wasp nests in the attic, dead insects in window sills), feathers (bird nests, dead birds), hair (dead rodents, wool products, trophy mounts), and other things made from animal byproducts. Once the source of the infestation is removed or cleaned, use Cy-Kick CS and Gentrol IGR once a month until all of the beetles are gone. Gentrol IGR will help break the breeding cycle of the beetles and will help eliminate them for good.
