    How long can I keep Cy-Kick CS after it has been mixed?

    We do not recommend storing mixed Cy-Kick CS. You would want to either use the entire gallon within 24 hours of mixing or spray the excess along the foundation of your home.

    How long can Cy-Kick stay mixed with water? And would this have any effect on its performance?
    I mixed the Cy-Kick with water, as recommended. 2 ounces of Cy-Kick with 2 gallons of water. But how long can it stay mixed? and would keeping it mixed for a long time have any effect on its performance? My main goal is to kill crickets and occasional scorpions. Thanks!

    With most concentrates including Cy kick CS, you want to be sure to use all mixed solution within 24 hours of mixing. Cykick is a great choice for crickets and scorpions. In the original container, if stored in a cool dry area, the shelf life is 3 years.

    Cy-Kick-CS
    I have found Cy Kick to kill most everything I wanted but I have never tried it on Fire Ants. Is it a good product for that? If not,what should I order?

    Cy Kick CS is labeled for fire ants however Extinguish Fire Ant Bait is our most popular ant bait. Applied as a broadcast application use 1.5-2 lbs. per acre and for ndividual mounds treatment, use 2-5 tablespoons. Keep in mind, Ants must be foraging for this to work. You should not apply this product in the late fall or winter of ants are not foraging...it will not work! Also, bait must remain dry. Do not apply if it is going to rain within 8 hours.

    I have spiders, and cave crickets in my house. I believe they are entering from crawl space. Can you help?

    You can use a product such as Cy-Kick CS to help eliminate these spiders and crickets both indoors and outdoors.  Cy-Kick CS is a favorite among professional pest control operators. Cy-Kick CS is a micro-encapsulated product. This means that the particles of the active ingredient are contained in tiny mico-capsules, the insect walks onto the treated surface and picks up the capsules on their bodies and then the micro capsules slowly dry out and crack and the active ingredient oozes out on the insect. These micro capsules make the Cy-Kick last for up to 90 days and also make it safer to use around pets and people.

    Is Cy-Kick CS effective at killing and preventing Thrips on houseplants?
    I have bought a new bottle of Cy-kick CS from DMO every year for the last 4 years because it is the ONLY product I've used that keeps my house and property SCORPION FREE in the middle of Arizona. Can I use the bottle I still have to irradicate a Thrips investation that's killing my most expensive houseplants? I really can't afford to spend $$ on something else in addition to my yearly Cy-kick order, especially since the price has gone up from the low $40s to almost $60.

    Cy-Kick CS is not labeled for control of thrips or for use on houseplants. For the best control of sucking and chewing pests such as thrips, we recommend using a foliar spray such as Natural Guard Neem RTU along with a systemic product applied to the soil such as Hi-Yield Systemic Insect Granules. Be sure to keep infested plants separate from plants that are not infested to help prevent spread.

    What is the rate of application for Cy-Kick CS for mosquito control?
    A

    When using Cy-Kick CS you can use between 1-2 ounces per gallon of water. I recommend that you spray all shrubery and vegetation where mosquitoes may rest. Make sure that you spray underneath leaves as well since this is where mosquitoes lay their eggs. If you have anymore questions about mosquito control, please read over our Mosquito Control Page

    How toxic is Cy-Kick CS undiluted?
    Someone I know offered to do some pest control for me in my kitchen. I gave him a bottle of Cy-Kick CS that I bought some time ago and told him the dilution rate was 1 oz per gallon. Except when I checked back to see how he was doing (noticing that he had started awfully quickly), he had poured the whole 32 oz of Cy-Kick CS into a spray bottle with only a little water, and was proceeding to do crack treatment along the walls and under the cabinets. I don't think he knows what he's doing (although he claims to have been in the pest control industry). How dangerous is this? What health hazards does this pose, and what should I do about it?

    While we cannot comment on the use of product by a third party we can say that Cy-Kick CS must be diluted with water and applied following the instructions on the product label.  We would recommend contacting the manufacturer of Cy-Kick directly at 1-800-777-8570.

    Can Cy-Kick CS be used around the perimeter of a horse pasture?
    A

    Cy-Kick CS is not labeled for use in areas animals would graze so you would have to keep applications at least 25 feet away from any grass they would graze.  The only insecticide that we have that would be safe for grazing area is Essentria All Purpose.

    Will this kill mites?
    My dog had mites but I didn't know what to kill them with.

    Cy-Kick CS is only labeled for clover mites, which are a plant pest, and not for any kind of animal or human parasite mites. You cannot use this product on animals. We recommend consulting with your vet regarding an appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan for your dog.

    Is it ok to use Cy-Kick CS on a tree for Spruce gall adelgid if the tree is in my yard near my well
    I am thinking of using it on a 10 foot high E. white spruce located approximately 15 feet from my water well.

    There should not be any harm using Cy-Kick CS in that manner.  Of course you would want to be sure to cover the well during application incase of drift spray and follow the instructions on the product label for application.
